Specially if monster aims at you constantly so you gotta run/dive to not die while the team wails on it, dps meters are toxic, in end long as user is doing damage and helping, who cares who the top DPSer is, just have fun with the damn game.
Enjoy your simple little U.I. bars and don't think about the fact that some horn user is probably responsible for your survival and 50% of your damage..
Regardless of what your intent was by sharing that information, it could have easily been seen as harassment because "hey bro your DPS sucks, get gud" regardless of the words you used.
If you want to use it to improve your own play that's your business but you should NEVER force your standards on random players. You don't know how long they've spent playing MH after all. Maybe this is their very first MH game and or the first time they've fought this monster. You don't know.
I know I wouldn't like it I finished hunting a monster for the very first time and some rando complains about my DPS. It's like "Yes bro, I know my play wasn't perfect. I haven't fought this thing before".
Additionally if they CARED about that level of information they'd probably just install the DPS meter themselves, assuming they're on PC.
So no, you really AREN'T being helpful. Just keep it to yourself and only share that info if someone asks.
And lastly if you expect PERFECT play you should never host OR join random sessions in any game. It'll just be better for everyone that way.
