Spread HGB useless/trashy?
Looks like they made a lot of changes to how bowguns works in Wild. And some ammo types, as a result, seem absolutely underwhelming.
Is spread still somewhat viable? Because the overall damage seems way lower due to the recoil. I know there's extra part damage with Spread but it still doesn't really seem to make up for it.
Same goes for Pierce btw. I feel like Element or Normal is just the way to go.

duno. all the range weapons are trash why would anyone ever use one?
I have the same feeling. I'm still at low rank but I noticed that spread ammo has fixed recoil regardless of the weapon's rank.

You can even consider getting weapons that have faster reloads, but the recoil won't help you. The damage is relatively the same, but all spread players prefer better recoil and reloads than increased damage.

Another ammo that has also apparently been affected is Sticky Ammo, you can simply only use 9 Sticky ammo at the beginning. You might think that you just need to farm a little to get more, but the farming points are extremely limited. Maybe at high rank this will be resolved, but it's disappointing for those who want to enjoy the entire story with their favorite weapon/ammo.

In addition, these Sticky ammo simply have extremely high recoil.

All of this is based on my experience with HGB, obviously the experience with these ammo was much better in Monster Hunter Worlds/Rise.
Mount your Seikret with Spread HBG.

Otherwise, if you're using spread, stick to LBG and use chaser shots to minimize recoil.
