Game still unoptimized
Monster Hunter Wilds is following Dragon's Dogma 2 path.
Capcom knows there's not much that can be done with RE Engine, so don't expect any "lowered PC spec requirements".

game works "ok" for now. tbf they could improve performance for sure even more but i dont think they will do. it was planed with dlss and frame gen in mind. its acceptable to me for now.

you wait day 1 relase... "ok".. lol my ass. Haha
At this moment benchmark tool is running better than the first beta... better is not great, but it's decent
Open Beta 1 was fine, Benchmark ran well, I'm sure launch and beyond will be great and I'll get my monies worth tenfold :104:

Yeah it does look unoptimized. I can already see World launch ptsd again.

They already said the Beta is the same as we got in november. Meaning they know very well the game still runs like expired dog food and were too afraid to make it current build because of backlash

At least with World we didn't need mandatory DLSS to run it. Now we do...

Launch will be indeed WILD

We will definitely encounter FPS issues on the Forest map.

This benchmark is just a tool to trick people into pre-order the Game. There's not even a single monster fight scene.

they rugpulled people 3 or 4 times now in the past 10 years? And they still won't learn.

I mean yeah kinda sucks, i played the last one on the switch and was honestly impressed at what i assumed was the RE engine, the switch is not that powerful and to have it keep close to world was impressive for me, really sucks i cant play this at more than like 40 fps with awful graphics so i guess im skipping this one

no new games are being optimized on day1, or heck even 1month in

compared to previous open beta which i had 12 fps sometimes on my 3080 it seems more promising. Still bad.. but.. maybe we need to get more into settings.

So you can play 30fps game at 540p (it's not even 720p in handheld) but can't play 40fps game with higher resolutions? what logic is this?
More proof that there is not on earth a more subservient group than gamers.
Some people here seem dead set about paying 70 bucks for something even they can only at best call "not so bad", on the non existent promise that it will get better.

The "not so bad" performance is better than playing on the switch.
It's better than the 3DS
It's better than the PSP
I've survived worse to play what is still an incredibly fun game gameplay-wise.

There was a lot of compromise on Rise from a core design aspect/mechanics to get it to run that well. It sucks the requirements are so beefy, and that you and many more can't play it. tho I'd rather they not switchify the game, because I do enjoy monster hunter being more open, rich, and grand in it's experience.

I did expect that the benchmark tool and the optimizations wouldn't help people much, that people were gonna run the game roughly as well as they could run the beta.
