Reminds me of the Movie Brave Heart- when the Scotts are lined up for war against the English. The Scotts are going to leave not wanting to fight for the Snobish nobles. The Nobles yell DON'T GO!!!! STAY until we've negotiated.
The Scotts end up winning due to the Leadership of William Wallace, so, moral of the story, only stay if you're fighting with William Wallace.
Wait.. People kick people? Really?! Oh wow! I've carted a few times and i've had people cart too. I really don't mind. I've also failed hunts where i've carted or not carted. I really don't mind either. Let's go again!
When this hunt initially started. Whilst me and some other player was fighting the other monster. A third player triggered a flash on the monster then insta-left the hunt. If by choice or crash, who knows! Whatever happened made the monster also leave the map. Why? Who knows.
First time it's happened to me. My little chicken was running around in circles. The monster we were due to hunt seemingly vanished. It was a 2 monster hunt. We spent a while hunting the first monster. I did indeed cart because hey. I suck. Someone happily or not so happily carried my heavy behind. I didn't realise it had disappeared but people kept joining/leaving and eventually after running around trying to find it, realised what happened and left myself.
With that said, the only ones I disagree with seeing are people that come into a hunt then leave after having said they are looking for Gold Crowns. THAT is one thing I find annoying and I am in the middle of crown farming myself. If ya join a hunt and can fight(even if ya get carted out) then do it. Don't just join, spam some shoutout about crown hunting then leave when you see it's not a crown while EVERYONE ELSE is fighting like normal.
I'll take someone who carts out over some butthead searching for crowns and blocking others from joining the quest due to filling up a slot they don't intend to stay for.
There were even 2 hunts back to back that this happened, on an event quest of all things. Thing is, I had just joined and was in the middle of travelling to the monster. Both cases I arived to a near-dead monster, all alone. Just trapped and moved on but wtf.
Why would you kick people in a 5 minute hunt, surely they can't be that bad. This is not a 3 hour raid where people can grief you. And even if they do, you are 5 minutes away from the next kill, why bother ? Why kick people that haven't even arrived to fight the monster ? 1k more zenny after the hunt, because you are now 3 instead of 4 people (lol and pathetic if that's the case) ? Why not limit the party to a lower number then, we have that option in Wilds now?
And yes, gold crown farmers are a problem. Ran into those too, but thankfully they didn't cost us the quest.
