jin is really mid. even safijiva is more fun. hope temp zoh shia will be more of a challenge
You used a bladey weapon, didn't you?
Use a Pierce Lv.3 Bowgun or one of the Fire Bows (I recommend Yian Kut-Ku).
As usual with huge monsters, the Bladeys basically just flail around at its feet and don't achieve much... while Gunners make an absolute joke of it due to how many times Piercing shots proc damage down the length of its body.
With the Kut-Ku Bow you can pretty much just stand in front of it, occasionally dodging to the side, and spam Dragon Piercer down its body over and over again for an easy win.

Dropped party leader, then froze the rest of us then KAMEHAMEHAD the whole squad. Everyone died and we were fighting it for almost 20 minutes. Wasting my damn time. Cheap bastard.

That is not a game issue.

The biggest obstacle of the fight is realizing that you can't stand near the front of his body or you're going to get hit by the frontal slam AoE that hits all the way back to his front feet. Just don't do it (unless you're playing a weapon with a cheese-everything omni-counter). You can get his head once you start to knock him over repeatedly.

Once you start getting openings (trips, etc.) they compound really quickly as you break the ribcage-like weak points, and then he basically doesn't do anything anymore once you break the last one.

Man really complains about the ONLY FIGHT with a mechanic you can't facetank most of the time (I see you divine protection/iframe user).

This is what happens when we only have 1 fight with actual mechanics.

It's the best fight in the game right now, skill issue.

It's easy.

Just try harder?

C'mon you can try harder.

I fear for new MH audience if Jin Dahaad is hard.

I feel like I'm the only vet in this community that understands how to have any degree of empathy dear lord.

Like, yeah, if you've never engaged with a fight like Jin Dahaad, I can imagine he's pretty hard, obviously, and even then you can't just turn your brain off against him unless you have some god rolls lol

It's the multi-stage spectacle fight against a giant monster, with clear design, layered mechanics, has a custom turf war in it and the fight gets progressively more difficult as time goes on, rather than being constant. It, more than anything else, is your introduction to High Rank and shows you the baseline difficulty. It's both demanding and fair, with every attack having 2-5 seconds of telegraph so you know when to dodge. You're even given a tutorial for its arena blast.

It is very obviously and intentionally modelled after the Xeno and Safi fights in MHW, the latter being an absolute favourite for many, both old and new players alike. Jin Dahaad is easily my favourite fight in Wilds, and probably in the top-10 favourites for 5th Gen-onward.

Skill. Issue.

It is not hard. It is one of the easiest fights in fact.

Do you truly need to cuddle incompetence, especially if it involves calls for axing someone's job for no reason?

I have little to no empathy to people who have none themselves.
