With the success of the previous games, it really opened it's way into mainstream popularity, and they're trying to capitalise on that.
It is bait.
If the game is accessible to the masses you can increase sale numbers and create a larger audience than the veteran community which already existed.
You can say it easily now, that Wilds is easier than Rise, or Rise is harder than Wilds. We cannot tell with 100% certainty until we have seen the final updates and addon.
But all in all, the indicators are pointing towards that Wilds is made intentionally as accessible as possible, and challenges are currently non-existing. But announced for the future.
As for harder than tempered gore, I can say as someone who has beaten gore in every mh game that he's prolly one of the harder fights I've seen in high rank for any mh game, considering that he just straight up has Sunbreak's G rank moveset and hits like several trucks. But hey, to each our own, I hope you enjoy rise as much I did when it came out :D
Oh? Which one?
Ah, okay. It is not a "Rise monster" but I can see why some people might think that.
You could try using a different weapon.
Using another weapon is standard practice. It is more than that. Besides, if you master a weapon truly, every monster is equally good managable. But again: it is more than that.
For example, whether you have a Dual Blades player who has a narrowed view on crit boost and crit chance, or another who also takes along Super-Evade and Stamina skills decorations.
Just the weapon means little to nothing.
As for why, it's numerous things. Wounds system and Focus Mode are the biggest culprits, and it feels like monsters just have less health this time around.
Good points.
The lack of difficulty has nothing to do with players' capabilities.
these ppl would fall left and right on worlds anjanath, what is one of the earlier monsters there
also, the game is so easy that it really fails to teach new players basic mechanics for the first 20-40h and suddenly they meet arkveld and gore, who arent hard in mh standards, but way harder than anithing else you meet in wilds, especially if you didnt learn the basics before
