Either way, it's not great but I can play it even with my mediocre setup.
also, Resident Evil 2 is like 5+ years older and the engine was built specifically for it. It's why so many people are mad they're using that engine for these big open games. It's not designed for it at all.
I haven't bought STALKER 2. I don't think I will ever buy STALKER 2.
If you like a game in a franchise you don't have to buy all of them. Just stop. Go play something else.
Without these a high to mid spec PC will be getting around 20-40 in most areas. With DLSS alone you can expect 40-50 in those same areas. With Frame Gen on you can get 60 to 75 in those same areas on that same hardware.
This game relies HEAVILY on DLSS + Frame Gen if your card can do it, if not, AMD's offering + Frame Gen. This will get you the FPS you need but visuals will look like absolute dog water as soon as it starts moving. Don't get me wrong, when you're playing and fighting you won't notice it too much unless the monster has a lot going on visually. But the moment you stop and look, you'll see it. I'm not exactly sure HOW the performance is this bad without resorting to fake frames and your graphics card being forced to hallucinate, but here we are.
You'll especially notice the mid-PS3 era dithering which... Well I'm shocked they went for that option.
