I've been told it's better to get certain multi-target investigations for decos, and arkveld (and gore) for Artian pieces? But I could be misremembering this.

The point is that like. What is "endgame" to you? Have you already farmed and fully upgraded all of your gear to *exactly* where you want it? Do you wanna make more builds to toy with?

You never played World. There was only one boss with any reason to grind it in Iceborne. Fatalis. Fatalis gear was far and away the best set and everything else was just a stepping stone to fatty gear. This is just continuing that aspect because it's CLEARLY what everyone loved about world. Fatty gear didn't even have the negative fate drawback like in other games where it was BiS.

Endgame with a set Ending is not a real endgame.
It`s just additional content after the main story.
Doesn`t make a differnce if there are 10 or 1 bosses to farm.
If you want to have real endgame you want to switch genres.

Why don't you farm a tempered apex predators? They drop the same tier of Decos in similar quantities.

Just farming Arkveld is more like just farming Nergigante (which was a thing in World release). And Jin Jahaad is similar to Xeno'jiiva.

I dunno, for Decos you have quite the options here. You even get enough Artisan Components. So far, the tempered Apex predators even had their gems as a reward, which might be nice for smelting, when you are always get one per hunt. But maybe I was just unlucky with Arkveld so far.

Getting the nice quests is just rng like World (here 5 star purple with good rewards).

Sadly you can't really do 5 stars with randoms. Oh boy do people cart here like crazy, when monster start to hurt. 5 star temp gore is almost impossible online.

You still haven't noticed the purple stars above the monsters? Stop fighting 3 purple star monsters.

Purple stars were introduced to remove rank clutter (same monster, different rank).
So far I haven't seen a 5 purple star tempered Arkveld, just 4 purple stars, which means the apex predators, gore and ark are available in the same tier with similar rewards. But maybe that is just my rng.

The amount of times I saw people getting one-shot by a 5 purple star tempered Uth Duna belly flip is hilarious.

Shara Ishvalda was bassically IB's final boss before title updates. Some would say ruiner negi mr 200 was (or was it 100? I forgot) but to me that was just a 'for old times lets do it again fight).
