So many games would be better if they didn't waste their time making it worse. Story about some kids feelings in a game about KILLING DRAGONS
I also actually liked the story tbh I just took it slow and enjoyed it
It got popular around time of Gears of War, but at least then the writing was interesting, funny, and added to the game. Also Gears a war was always a linear 3rd person shooter, so why they put this trash in a monster hunter game where the latest entry claimed to have been more "open" is insane.
People can say what they want about World but it was a joy to explore that game on your first playthrough. In this game I have not seen anyone interested in exploring so its like that failed at the "Wilds" part of the subtitle lol.
monsters themselves are all descended from fatalis, who is also synthetic.
You're just hired muscles who watches from the back and fights monsters before cutscenes.
Who asked for this?
The boy’s role actually adds depth to Monster Hunter Wilds’ worldbuilding rather than taking away from it. His personal journey, going from hatred of the monster to understanding its nature, fits perfectly with the series' themes of ecosystems, balance, and the unintended consequences of human intervention.
The idea that the hunter is just "hired muscles" misses the point. Monster Hunter has never been about having or being a big central character in a personal hero’s journey. Instead, the characters serve as a grounded perspective, allowing players to witness the world’s deeper conflicts unfold while staying true to their role as a professional working under the Guild’s authority.
Rather than forcing a generic RPG-style protagonist arc, Wilds presents a layered narrative where characters like the boy serve as a lens into the broader themes of control, freedom, and the relationship between hunter and monster..
All of you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tourists can take a trip down to Freedom Unite where we ( real monster hunter fans) just thwacked monsters and moved on.
Who the ♥♥♥♥ cares about the story and why does Crapcom keep trying to make it work when their story telling is CRAP?
Just hire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Yoshihiro Togashi if you wanna make a new world story every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TIME a Monster Hunter game rolls around. JFC, you are right NO ONE CARES AND THEY KEEP MAKING IT LIKE THEY'RE LIMITED OR STUPID
