Get out of here with that Disgusting Mindset. There are some weapons that aren't specialized in dealing massive damage, but helping their team dish out massive amounts, by buffing them or opening up the monsters for their heavy hits.

If everyone just played for top DPS, you'd have 4 hunters using Heavy Bowguns.

I don't care about DPS, but having monster health and head/limbs/tail "HP" would be very good

if your damage numbers increasing after new gears, then you re on right track.
no need to min/max. its not stat building game fully.

Didnt a lot of mods that worked with world also work with rise? Could it be safe to assume that they may also still work with wilds?
