Download before buying.
As the title says, can i download the game somewhere and then buy the key and add it to steam and then add the previous downloaded game to my library? pay day is only tomorrow, so if i could download the data before , i could just arrive from work and add the key i bought and start playing, instead of foaming while i watch those 75GB being slowly downloaded. thanks in advance.

Install the steam app on your mobile phone, then you can buy it while at work and start the download

Half of that only works if you would let your pc run the whole day with steam open.....

I suppose technically. You could have someone do a "backup game files" thing, send you that, and then you'd buy the game and restore it from the backup.

Nobody has files they can 'backup' like that though since it's not out yet.
So no.

It'd be easier just to borrow the cash from a friend and buy a steam gift card with it.

Not sure I understand what you really want to do. What you could do is buy it on steam now, pre-load the data, refund and activate a key you bought from a third party website once your refund was processed. That's quite a mess but that's probably the only way for you now...

He does not have the money to buy the game right now, but wants to preload it so that when he buys it he can instantly start playing

they might just have to wait then plus one day really isnt that long to wait when you put it in perspective of 365 days in a year that youll be playing the game.

As long as he got a semi modern smartphone he just can install the steam app and buy through that and download remotely

This!!! I only get paid tomorrow morning, só i was looking for a shortcut to have the game on my PC by the time i leave work.
