I need some advice for gear
I am a dual blades/bow main and I got the rathalos set and at HR 20 my question is what would next gear set for me? Some people stack burst while others stack constition and stuff like that. some people say dual blades/bow isnt big on elemental damage anymore

Check out some of the builds on Game8. They do a really good job of explaining the setup. I'm using a variation of their insect glaive build and it got me all the way to endgame and as of a few moments ago, I just hit 100% achievements. Really helpful site. Here's an example for you...

Why not just try both and find out which one you like the most?
There isn't really a "best build" because everyone has a different playstyle.

Honestly, I'd recommend constitution first since that will allow you to do more, and then trying burst next.

I usually get survival builds until I'm comfortable in hunts, then I do damage builds once I'm able to dodge/block all attacks.

a best build is whatever you enjoy, however if you play bow or dual blades you should work on getting stamina buffs.

marathon runner, stamina surge, and the item dash juice. these would be a good idea to invest into for stamina heavy weapons/play styles.
for armor you could use some of the "battle" set or the Rey Dau set for stamina surge

dual blades definitely cares about element still and maxes burst, it's bow that is in a weird spot with it, between odd capcom balance on elemental modifiers for bow, crit element not really functioning on bow and bow choice being far more about getting ones with close range coatings (to the point you end up using artian water bow even on raths where you'd normally use thunder or dragon). even in a favorable element matchup, 1 raw is worth ~7 element for bow (and remember, the display value of element is 10x the actual value, and the attack value display is inaccurate if you don't change your display coefficient setting to OFF)

Meanwhile Dual Blades are so all-in on stacking raw, element and sharpness management that they're not even using weakness exploit or crit boost at endgame even though it's good

so would say a mix between G Ebony Oddie and G Thunder rex would be good for hr 20 plus?

If you really want to be switching between bow and DBs mid hunt I would just run pieces of guardian rathalos armor for weakness exploit and use 1 or 2 points of adrenaline rush and burst, then ditch it at hr41 for the cookie cutter arkveld chest + 4 piece set bonus of current final monster

actually i mainly stay dual blades but some monsters like Alpha Bear dog i tend to go range because hes hard to handle for me in melee

Then use the equipment loadouts feature and just use different sets favoring the strengths of the weapon without swapping, DBs and Bow still use the same endgame HR 41 armor mix but the difference is mainly that DBs stack burst while Bow stacks weakness exploit in that set

Stack dmg... if you want to stack stamina of something just put cons on your lv 1 decoration... if your stamina depletes just enter archdemon, or you can focus strike and demon dance all the way to recover some of your stamina... managing it is not hard as long you don't forget to eat or just find some wiggly itchy or something
