If any dev makes a game that requires FG or upscaling to get to a 60 fps target you will never have a sale with me, that is for sure.
A 6700 XT as requirement for 1080p at 60 fps is not "games are getting bigger and complex" but bad optimization, let's not be naive
I've had that card. It played every single game in my entire library (old AND NEW) at 2k 60+ without upscaling or FG ever needed. It was built to be a 2k card. If you gotta dial your game down to 1k MEDIUM and enable to FG to get to 60 with it then your game/engine has some serious optimization issues.
you really expect people to not preorder or pay for a game they want just because you can't upgrade from your 1060? give me a break.
My PC is quite capable of running this game. The overall point that is being discussed seemed to fly way over your head, though.
You maybe be angry about it and all that, but what he's saying hold certain degree of true.
Well, in the end it doesn't matter. People will buy anything anyway, more and more devs will release their games at 30-40fps, or lower, and just ask for frame gen to reach 60 and this will be the normal from now on.
Pre-orders had so much problems from to the past that still bleed into nowadays, but pre-ordering is already past over "our normal" at the point of people defending it with their lives.
And the reality is, if you slowly dumb down people, you can make them eat literal ♥♥♥♥ and they'll smile and say it's delicious.
So good for them, even when we are losing the majority is still holding an smile on their face and arguing how good ♥♥♥♥ is, so who cares, let us all eat ♥♥♥♥ together. :D
The requirements are ridiculous and I have a system that crushes the required specs.
Its mainly the frame generation comment people are annoyed by. Requiring the hardware it does while requiring frame generation only at MEDIUM settings at 1080p is pretty ridiculous..
You people realise that film / cinema / video runs in 24fps...? If one can watch a film in 24fps, they can play a game at 30fps.
I'm so glad that I precede this brainwashed "Generation 60fps"... I cannot imagine how awful the pastime would be if I had some psychological neurosis where every game that didn't run at 60fps+, became "unplayable" to me /̵͇̿̿/’̿’̿ ̿ ̿̿ ̿̿ ̿̿😖
Playing something is different than watching something sport.
Intel Core i5 14400F
RTX 4060 Ti 16GB (I hear people say its a bad card for the value but whatever, I'm quite happy with this since I was coming from a 1050 ti)
32GB DDR5-6000
2TB SSD
the 1050 ti served me very well, it ran games perfectly for a long while. Now, even gpus released just last year can't even be recommended to newer games. The most recent one that piss me off so much is Forever winter, that game has insane system requirements for a game that is mainly sneaking around and only has one color palette. Yeah, its early access idc Space marine 2 ran so well while looking so dang good. Why can't games nowadays be beautiful and run well at the same time now?
