Why is this game 70 bucks?
Seriously, this isn't even the full game because in 2027 they gonna release the other half of the game as DLC. So now I'm supposed to pay 70 bucks for half a game and then another 70 for the rest?

Because that's what it's being sold for. You can accept the price and purchase it, not purchase it, or purchase it at a later date during a sale.

No. for $70 you get the full game and then for $$40-$50 you get more content that they will be working on for the next year or so. Devs don't work for free.

so basicly every game having a expansion ? your gonna boycot destiny 2 for having 1 mill expansions ?

70$ base game and 40$ EXPANSION with double the content.
the base game already has 100's of hours of content and if you think that isnt worth 70$ to you then gaming as a hobby isnt your thing sorry

The AAA company standard has been $60 for so long now I'm surprised it hasent gone up long before now, the increase has been a thing for about 5 years now, its just slow in coming for most companies, Capcom is just the first to fully embrace it with any and all new releases, I dont like it either but it makes sense, also the expansion is usually cheaper than the base game was on release while the base game keeps droping in price over time. Capcom is good about that anyways, and regularly push sales too.

Good post. Between Rise/World and the expansions I have almost 1700 hours.

Dividing that by the cost I spent is literally nothing.

The Celsius I’m drinking cost way more per the benefit I get from it.

Wait until 2028's Winter Steam Sale for 40% off the game then.

The entitlement of people expecting the game to be free or cost nearly nothing is insane. What did you expect? It's an AAA game, OF COURSE it is going to be full price.

Here it's under 60 bucks: https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/monster-hunter-wilds-pc/

On other sites you can even buy it for like 50 bucks. Easy. No need to throw additional money over steam.

Those who are willing to just accept the price of $70 because "Dev's don't work for free" is apart of the issue with these triple A companies rushing products out the door without finishing games. I don't take away from the replay ability of MH games for they have always generated thousands of hours from loyal fans. But they've been doing so on handheld consoles for years past now for near half the price. $70 is just the new toxic price tag companies have come up with to further milk the consumer instead of keeping it at the very least $60 for a complete game. As to where you pay inflated price for something that has purposefully withheld content from you to drip feed you more and more with additional prices.

I have ~800 hours played in Monster Hunter: Worlds and I think I got my money back worth in playtime. In comparison, I've spend 70€ on Blackmyth Wukong and played for 5 hours. That was a bad buy for me tbh.

And I'm still playing MHW as of today, so I didn't even hesitate to buy the Premium Deluxe Edition. Every penny is worth it. :praisesun:

Yup, those defending the price are just bootlickers.

the price is not consistent it is at 69.99€ in France that makes 78.27$ American. Yes there are the key resellers who will always be cheaper than Steam outside of promotion. I find that even in France for a game it remains very expensive look at our Steam library we do not have 10 or 20 games but hundreds we cannot afford to buy games at this price. There are independent games better than AAA which are at 25 or 30€.
