RTX 3060 ti or Rtx 4060 ti?

my GPU is old and only have 4gb i was thinking of upgrading it because i want this play this game and other games !
i heard RTX 4060 is trash so RTX 3060 ti will be able to run this game?
3060 ti with 12 gb of vram !

A $300 4060 card would honestly be fine if you're ok with 30 fps / 1080p. The recommended specs list the 8gb vram 4060 anyway. And that's assuming Capcom didn't grossly overshoot the estimates on the specs to begin with. All that considered, I would expect framerate to fall somewhere between 30 and 60 with that card if you tweak settings a bit. Definitely playable.

Like I said, 4070 super is the best deal. Pretty sure OP wants to save money though since he only mentioned entry level cards, in which case 4060 ti would likely be best for Wilds considering the sys reqs.

This is the right move, the 4060 ti is just too overpriced imo, for 400+ dollars you're just getting stolen, the 4060 is weaker but 100 dollars cheaper and you get the benefits of frame generation from dlss3, or if OP want something that will simply just run this game there's nothing better at the 200 dollar range than the rx 6600, rx 6650 xt and rx 7600. If they want to invest more money, rx 7800 xt or rtx 4070 for 480ish+.

That said with the next generation coming out soon, I wouldn't buy anything expensive right now, there could be a 350 dollar card coming out that can outperform a 450-500 one.

4060 is already outdated if you plan on future proofing yourself. Want to play new games? DON'T invest in a 4060. 4060 is fine if you are going to play old games though.

Invest in a 4070 TI or a 4080, anything below that is being phased out pretty quickly with these new intensive and demanding games

Maybe you would be better off saving up more money, the game still has 4 months till its release and a 4070 is really your best bet here if you like team green. I don't think it's that simple, imagine if the gtx 970 and 1060 6gb were inverted in performance, but kept the same vram, it's the same situation with the 4060 and 3060, a 10% stronger 970 would be completely irrelevant today, and a 10% lower fps 1060 would still be clinging for life and running almost every game, like it is today. It's not also just about the vram difference, the bandwith is higher on the 3060.

Now I don't think the 4060 is a bad purchase and the 3060 is guaranteed to last into the ps6 generation, nobody knows what will happen specially if they advance "ai features" too much (in this case both could be obsolete in 4 years), in fact I would get 4060 easily if you can find them at almost the same price, but the 3060 is still a decent purchase today if you can and want to upgrade in 3 years if you have to, but you could have to upgrade the 4060 as well.

To be honest if budget is your major concern, i would skip NVIDIA,

Since you are looking at performance per dollar

grab an AMD RX6800XT or 7700XT both will run 1440p beautifully, AMD cards are great & the price dropped faster, both are high 300 dollar cards & pretty much future proof with 16GB of rams in them.


Or you wait till CES.

both are bad in that game's case since it asks for 4060 in order to play with FG being enabled, if you want to upgrade your gpu just for this game then better wait until it comes out and see the benchmarks
