It seemed fine to me.
Set Focus to toggle instead of Hold if you're struggling.
If you don't like one you are not forced to play with it
Just on the bear.
3 wounds on the back, 1 on the head, 4 on the legs, 2 on the sides, one on the backside. If you don't SOMEHOW get one of those wounds, then that isn't exactly the other player's fault. "Charge blade needs wounds." No, it has an option to skip getting a perfect guard instead of wounds. "Long sword needs wounds." Again, skipping. "IG needs wounds." Funny, I watched my friend use IG just fine with no wounds? The wound procees is an optional accelerant to the actual gameplay style of the game. Weapons get bonuses for wounds, it's to speed up the hunt, but I swear, I already know how the launch is going to go because this game has Crossplay/VC.
"Bruh! That was my wound!"
"Sorry man, needed to go into savage axe!"
"Well I needed my long sword level!"
"I'm a bow, I just do bow things."
To be fair, Bow became VERY OP in this game. Same with Long Sword LOL.
The problem arises when you have the HBG dude shooting them all LMAO.
I wouldn't put any faith in that rumor of an item adding bounces back - that doesn't sound like something Capcom would do. They'd implement Styles again before they did something that clunky.
I'm really hopeful that they take the Kinsect attacks off Focus Mode and make it a basic part of the IG's attacks if you have it attached to your arm. As it stands, there's not a single good reason to have it tied to Focus aside from stamina drain - which it shouldn't even have in the first place, it returns so quickly. It really feels like Capcom just doesn't like the IG, and both kneecapped the IG while also giving the Longsword IG's altered attacks with gathered resource.
Insect Glaive can get benefit from focus strike the wound without actually need to destroy the wound, it just need to hit wound to finish focus strike's attack and still get triple buff even if it didn't destroy any at the end.
This isn't something you can defend. It's a significant flaw that needs fixing, among other flaws.
Ah yes, anyone who disagrees with you knows nothing.
Meanwhile, as an IG main in World, I love the changes.
