at some point it was like you said. But for me games are never was about min/maxing but about enjoyment - and MH is very skill based game. We can solo everything when we good enough. So don't wanting anything in group is silly and just excuse to being bad in the game.
a single person can completely a fully scaled monster on their own, no doubt, but it's not really nice to them, or everyone else in the party if others are sandbagging, it's not "being bad" in the slightest.
so some people like being carried - others like carrying others and help others. Some don't care about what you said and some sweat people are emotionaly destroyed and cry when someone worse than them join to lobby. They feel bad and have derpession in instant. And that's all. And there's no wrong or bad by having different opinion about it or anything else. But it's not the subject so left it behind.
Everything can be maded better and balanced better. Now developers have more tools and are more experienced about creating and balancing stuff.
They kinda already have that in older games and Rise. apparently people didn't like that either lol.
Way better.
Its so impactful now.
but changed to be more impactful overall.
imo its a good change.
In a main series MH game? Doubtful. MH isn't shy with reusing parts from previous titles, so if they had plans to reuse the mechanic I assume it would have happened already.
