prowler mode - play as palico will return?
Do you guys think - prowler mode for palico will return someday? i miss playing as a our beloved palico. it was in my opinion as a "different weapon". It was so joyful in monster hunter generations ultimate. I wish they will consider one day a return of prowler mode.

even than a different weapon i want more to play as a palico.

and for those who don't know about it. Prowler mode was a "playstyle" where we played our cat instead of our human character. it has few "classess" and different weapons. it's more simple than weapons on human but it was enough to make it joyful.

as much of a fun gimmick it was, it generally wasn't seen favorably in groups, seen as sandbagging, so unless they do a lot to actually bring it up to snuff (which is just effort) i wouldn't be surprised if its just thrown away for the time being.

at some point it was like you said. But for me games are never was about min/maxing but about enjoyment - and MH is very skill based game. We can solo everything when we good enough. So don't wanting anything in group is silly and just excuse to being bad in the game.

its really not, and if your doing something casually with friends its not really a big deal, but when playing with strangers, you were ultimately being carried; same thing with aerial IG in world: does no damage and provides very little to the group.

a single person can completely a fully scaled monster on their own, no doubt, but it's not really nice to them, or everyone else in the party if others are sandbagging, it's not "being bad" in the slightest.

so some people like being carried - others like carrying others and help others. Some don't care about what you said and some sweat people are emotionaly destroyed and cry when someone worse than them join to lobby. They feel bad and have derpession in instant. And that's all. And there's no wrong or bad by having different opinion about it or anything else. But it's not the subject so left it behind.

Everything can be maded better and balanced better. Now developers have more tools and are more experienced about creating and balancing stuff.

you are now trying to do some weird "some people like carrying" thing which doesn't really change the point i made, see original post; unless they do some various changes, its simply sandbagging, so i cant imagine them putting effort into it until they get that fixed

I think its a fun sidestep, but not something I would personally want to see return. I would rather they continue to expand on palico mechanics, possibly introduce more tuning options for builds beyond unimportant weapon/armor choices and gadget.

They kinda already have that in older games and Rise. apparently people didn't like that either lol.

Definitely not coming back considering when you fire SOS flare it now creates NPC Hunters to help you if no real players que up.

I'm glad somebody else brought it up this time. Feels like I'm taking crazy pills with the amount of aerial IG users who deny aerial IG did no DPS.
What's your guys take on IG on Wilds? Is it better?

Different in a way that people who enjoyed the toned down aspect will probs go to a different weapon
but changed to be more impactful overall.

imo its a good change.

Why's that a bad thing?

As a spinoff? Maybe. I could see Prowler mode being made into it's own game. Roguelites are popular these days so why not run-based top down Prowler ARPG or something?

In a main series MH game? Doubtful. MH isn't shy with reusing parts from previous titles, so if they had plans to reuse the mechanic I assume it would have happened already.
