Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds

Statistiche:
How do you feel about the gameplay?
Trash performance aside, what do you think of the actual game?

Movement and combat feels a bit sluggish, although it could just be a matter of getting used to this version. Focus mode also doesn't really jive with me. Can't say I like the changes to the Lance either, it's like they streamlined the fun out of it.

I went from hyped to ambivalent pretty early on in the demo. I'm going to play it through the weekend though to get a better sense of what Capcom is trying to do with this installment. Who knows, maybe it'll click for me later.

What about you guys?

i cant help but feel a small gripe that i cant deploy para/poison toads no more but everything aside from that and the graphical glitches are PHENOMENALLY lovely ;v;
Something is up with the responsiveness of the dodge and block functions. The delay in places make it very cumbersome comparatively to other monster hunters. Soft locks to combo commits are also off. ( where you can't react once you have done a action )

Nothing that they can't tighten up..... and they should.
Performance is fine for me (albeit, for personal preference, I don't max everything out, and my Alienware laptop was top draw <18 months ago).

The gameplay is the same... But, I'd like the open world to be more open, in terms of where I can go; because it already feels even more jarring to be forced down a path when the maps meant to be free roam, than it did in 'Worlds' where it was clearly not open world... Not that that aspect of the game (map design) will change... Unless the world is built to be 100% contiguous throughout and DLC "added-on" to; which I highly doubt.

Overall, it's nice and all... But, I'm not mad crazy about rushing out to get it on day dot, and largely because I'll need some QoL mods before I feel completely comfy pump hours into it (e. g., Scoutflies OFF; a few weapon or character skins)... I'd actually like Capcom to release a slew of DLC skins from their pantheon of games -- playing as, say, Poison or Hugo (voiced) would be laugh riot!

The thing is, once you've played* a few hundred hours of 'World', to go back to square-1 and have to re-grind everything. Of course, the co-op is the biggest lure with MH games... But, this game will be active for 5~10 years, and doesn't need to be dived into immediately.
(*much of it being spent gearing-up and in the hub)

I enjoy it. I have only done a few fights though it does not feel like a huge deviation. It also is running wonderfully on my pc but i also have a decent rig so that may be why.
I'm absolutely in love with the gameplay, I'm a hammer main and I felt a lot quicker than World! Having two weapons is incredible, I've switched to SnS and Insect Glaive for a bit and decimated some monsters! Seikreit is awesome to have around, my only complaint is it's auto move mechanics even in manual mode it always moves forward, I can probably get used to it though! The map system and finding a new monster to hunt is my favorite part though!!

Lol, it really is bad.
I can't say much - I refuse to play games with graphics that were average like 20 years ago :steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm::steamfacepalm:

Find the option in game settings for "Seikret Auto-Explore" and turn it off. It stops the forced pathing and allows you to free roam on your mount. You can still use the auto pathing to monsters if you like by pressing up a second time, but this option removes all the forced pathing and makes it open world. No idea why this isnt off by default tbh...
I don't like getting ganged down by 3-5 of the same monster, but everything else is good
