MH 3 with only 35 monster is blow.

So I guess around 50 large and rest are small.

I hope they add more monsters than they have items/armor for.

For example Apex monsters in base Rise. They didn’t have gear associated with them, so people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ online and I doubt we see anything like it in the future. Even tho they were fun to fight.

Hoping no collab monsters, and well, no collabs in general.

Expect it to be around the same as base World DLC or no DLC. So something around 45.

Personally due to the fact they have already shown us so many new monsters, with a couple new armor sets that we also cant name with Rathalos being the only 100% confirmed returner, you could say Congalala as well due to the dual blades vid as well but who knows, I'm squeamish on even hazarding a guess at what we might get.

That was 3 Ultimate at 49 (or 46 if you count 3 of them being basically recolors with one having actual tweaks to its moveset but basically the same monster), the base classic release of 3 only had 18.

Fun fact: 3 had so few monsters and even only half the available weapons due to the massive amount of dev time spent just to get underwater to work, ending with only 3 monsters for the entire game being able to use it.......still trying to figure out why its such a fan favorite.......id kill to know what content got cut due to all that lost dev time.

Theyre right now showing us skeletons more than monsters, per se, because World significantly lacked monster diversity (which Rise excelled at). We've seen a flying wyvern, amphibian, leviathan, temnoceran, and neopteran. However, this could all be fluff and filler if they go back to World and add only boring ass brutes, flying and bird wyverns, and fanged wyverns. They could just port most of the Rise roster to fill that space if they want to be especially lazy about it.

Neopterons? What neopteron have they shown? And please don't tell me you are talking about the small ones since they don't count.

The small ones do count, because it indicates the skeleton is present, meaning they can add large bugs with ease.

Theyre not true arachnids. They have spider-like qualities, but only have 6 legs rather than 8.

Then why weren't there any neopterons in World if it's that easy to just grab a bug with only 1 or 2 attacks and make it a full monster?

Worlds monster count was trash cause they spent way too much time on the Zorah quests, they had a bunch of technical issues, its a large reason as to why we didnt get leviathans as well, they just ran out of time to do anything

Whats funny is noone liked the Zorah quests lmao

Hopefully Wilds doesn't have any high production value/cost story filler that just eats up dev time.

At least Rampages in Rise yielded good weapons, but they didn't bring it back in Sunbreak.... very odd.

Because it's not fun to not have an armor or weapon they could have easily done some color swapping most of the apex monsters were just budget deviants anyway and the deviants had entire armor sets with a unique set skill
