Neutral Karma
How the hell do you get through New Vegas with Neutral Karma? I tried this time, but next thing i know im Good. I hate that killing certain guys gives you good karma and they attack you even when you are neutral, my hands are tied and its driving me nuts. Im about to just start killing innocent civilians just to get my karma down enough to be neutral lol. Im wanting to do it for the acheivments. Anyone got any advice?

Steal stuff.

Steal everything I guess. Kill any innocents you don't need.

It's difficult for sure. I would never attempt it. Good luck though :)

Sadly, the karma system is awful. Maybe there's a mod to balance it a bit.

It's really damn hard to keep your karma level below 'Good' in NV.

Fortunately for you, karma level is almost meaningless in the game.

On 5 characters I have right now, none are "good". Stealing all the time make your Karma bad easily.
Also, I don't recall any achievements related with neutral karma (or with karma). So, what is the achievements you are trying to get?

There are no karma-related achievements for the game.

Only things karma actually affect in Cass' dialogue, one ending slide and the ability to pick a level 50 perk.

That puzzled me too. Not that I pay attention to Steams Achievements. :Uranium:

lol im sorry, i think i was thinking of Fallout 3. If im not mistaken it has acheivments for level 10 20 and 30 for all 3 karma alignments. I think anyways. Maybe i just got em mixed up, im very sorry. That makes this acheivement thing easier.

I believe it's 5, 7, 12, 20, and 30. Might be wrong, though.
Just checked, it's 8, 14, 20, and 30.

IIRC it actually affects a great number of ending slides, at least in the DLCs.

It also changes the vault-boy image and title for your current character level

Stealing is -5 Karma points, killing a bad dude is +15 to +25 so clearing out the road from Primm to Novac can net like 600 Karma.
There are mods that disable kill karmas, steal karmas or try to overhaul the system altogether, yes. LOTS of mods, to be frank.
Or, if you feel the karma system is unfair because it forces good on you, you can try to simply type "player.setav karma 0" in the console from time to time. It forces your karma to be neutral.

Your actions affect the DLC endings, not your Karma.

Don't bother worrying about Karma. It does absolutely nothing, other than giving you 1-2 perks.
