add and remove reputation cheat not helpfull
anyone have notice that command console for reputation dont works properly? for example if i tipe "remove reputation 1558e6 0 1" it low me the negative reputation by one, but if i tipe"remove reputation 1558e6 0 50" it does nothing at all, so basically you cant use those code properly.

They do work.
Tested and confirmed by shooting up the fort to become vilified, then I entered the commands and Boone ended up turning on me since I was now liked by the legion xD.

gain fame with the legion: addreputation f43dd 1 5
remove infamy with the legion: removereputation f43dd 0 5

5 seems to be the maximum it accepts, though you can repeatedly press up and enter to quickly repeat the same command over and over.

Reputation works in fame and infamy tiers. You cannot "skip" tiers, so when you try to modify reputation you have to do it in small steps.
Also keep in mind that some factions retain hostility no matter how much you manipulate the values, and also some events like the assassin spawns cannot be simply switched off by artificially decreasing infamy. A lot of the NPC behaviour seems to be tied to reputation in the form of scripts: if you reach a certain threshold it activates certain behaviour patterns, and to modify those you'd have to find the affected scripts.

I'm not sure this is actually true, as the powder gangers at the NCRCF have a different faction ID, 8d395.

Can confirm that the NCRCF Powder Gangers still attack at artificially positive reputation.

Everyone remains hostile if you triggered faction hostility. Only the NCR and Legion can switch it off with your one-time amnesty. If you manage to find the variable that controls it, you could make any faction friendly again, regardless of reputation (as long as your reputation score never changes), but I don't heard about anyone managing to find it.

Hi everyone. In case someone will still read this, I have found the solution for the Powder Ganngers, and how to make them neutral even after them becoming Vilified.

1) "setreputation <ID> 0 0" to remove all negative reputation,
and "setreputation <ID> 1 0" to remove all positive.
2) tdetect to turn off detection.
3) setav aggression 0, to all the NPC's. This means when you open the console, click with the mouse cursor on the hostile NPC (who will not attack you, thanks to the tdetect), and write setav aggression 0 for EACH hostile NPC. You can give yourself Perception 10 to find the NPCs easier, palyer.setav perception 10.
4) After you setav aggression 0 all the NPCs, type tdetect again, and return to your previous Perception. (For me I used player.modav perception -3, and my percep came back my 7).
5) Profit.

Just used this on Powder Gangers, and it works. Have fun!

Thanks a lot Kaiba, it helped me with one of the Legion's quests where Cpt Curtis was hostile to me for no reason. Setav aggression 0 was enough tho :cozybethesda:

Quick reminder for posterity - console commands are not cheats, they are developer debugging tools. Everything mentioned so far in this thread has a chance of breaking quest triggers and progression. Generally, avoid using on a live save.
