DPS and DAM?
I know that DPS mean damage per shot and of course DAM mean damage but what is the difference? Which one is more important. Why is DPS different then DAM? Which one should be higher in a gun or weapon to call it good? F.Y.I a nooby question I know. Also don't say look it up on the internet because I did nothing came up.
Thanks

DpS is damage per second. Essentially how fast can you dish out raw damage. It's calculated from damage, ammo modifier, and fire rate.

DAM is damage per shot.

DAM is important if you're dealing with high DT targets.
To give examples, a high DAM weapon is the AMR. Hits for a huge amount of damage, but because it takes a while to fire again, it has lower DPS than DAM. A high DPS weapon is the Minigun; each single round does a pitiful amount of damage, but since you're spewing a huge amount of rounds at something, it has a high DPS.

AMR stands for Anti-Materiel Rifle, a high-level slow sniper type (the Hecaté II's in-game name). In case OP is new to the game and haven't even had the chance to meet it yet.

Do your best to live up to my pre-conceived notions of how tufty that neckbeard of yours is, why don;t you?

Because I use a weapon's actual name instead of an in-game simplification? I fail to see your logic.

All I see now is pure attention-seeking attempts at trolling, which is more than sad and pathetic on the day of Christmas eve. I mean it's one thing to not be loved by anyone, which is clearly the case here, but trying to spread this useless negativity is just so sad…
The good news is that in 5-10 years you'll probably outgrow it. Just hang in there.

Harry Potter neckbeard spotted!

Now the gun nut neckbeard and HP neckbeard can duel! My bets are on the guy with the RK-95TP!

Hm. Unnecessary aggressive behaviour, deflecting questions with even more aggressive answers, deliberately searches for conflicts, tries to use sarcasm with semi-recent pop culture references to mask embarrassment.
Profile shows use of simplified grammar, reviews are broken sentences meant either as purely offensive outbursts or seemingly witty comments.

I'd guess pre-teen or early teen with dysfunctional family and school problems trying to vent out frustration to strangers found on the internet in the hopes of feeling better. Possibly carried over from a social site like facebook where similar behaviour was displayed or learnt from as a victim.
Or maybe early twenties, living alone and feeling the loneliness near the end of the year.
Former could be outgrown eventually with the help of some real friends if ever acquired, later is just a sad existence all over.

Predicted response is some witty insult and a few made-up denials, including possible lies of age and maybe gender, or even more aggressive posts trying to divert the topic in hopes of if it is not mentioned, it is not there.

If I could feel sorry for trolls, I probably would now. Alas, I really don't care.

You cared enough to psychoanalyse me. That's more than my dad ever did.

To be fair, I have issues calling the Browning Hi-Power simply the 9mm Pistol. I've got Realistic Weapon Names installed for a reason. :owsword:

Indeed, people like you are the reason that mod even exists. It's a bit strange to look at an AR-15 (Sorta. Never seen one with wooden furniture myself, and the sights don't look quite right for an AR-15. Suppose those could simply be modifications that the Gun Runners made to the design, though.) and call it a "Service Rifle", after all.

Well, if the Gun Runner's are *manufacturing* weapons they probably don't have the facilities to make polymer stocks.

OTOH, they *do* have the facilities to make laser rifles - schizotech aesthetic.

Actually, Gun Runners don't make or sell energy weapons like the laser rifle, it's the Silver Rush that does energy weapons. Not that important, but just in case anyone was wondering.
