"out of memory"?
I was playing around westside and I shot a fiend in the face and then BOOM it says out of memory. I just disabled one of my biggest mods NVB2 so its not mods. Do I need to delete some saves, mods or just to many followers (I only have two). Can a mod help or do I need to restart my game?

1. Deactivating a 'big mod' doesn't mean your meory usage is less. If you want to significantly decrease memory usage, deactivate any high-res texture mods you have installed.

2. If you're not running the 4gb executable then you're not using the full 4gb of RAM that the game *could* access. FNV is a 32 bit game - but its written for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ XBOXES and will, unmodified, only use 2gb of that. Go here and run this:

If you need help feel free to PM me for commentary insulting your lack of l33tput3rsk1llz

laptops are the scourge of gaming. i sure wish they'd hurry up and catch desktops. i guess because of the size, it'll never happen.
and price and portabililty
but it will happen one day
it is what it is and i do the best i can
my flatmates big F off rig crashes this game more than my laptop btw

32bit computer can access a total of 4 gig of memory, but technically, more like 3.5
64 bit computer can access theoretically 16 Terabytes of Memory

Consoles are the scourge of gaming, because while computer hardware keeps getting better, the games being written during the life of the console, have to be written to accommodate that consoles hardware, which in a year from release is already old and outdated compared to the PC

what i was really digging for myself is if it was worth/possible to run 4GB on only 3GB 64 bit system
im guessing not as i'm using 70% as is
really just clutching at straws looking for ways around crashes
but my bloody PS3 runs this game no better,so i think its just a sh.itty bit of software to begin with
if the game wasnt so good i would have tossed it in the bin years ago
yes its the console that is the scrourge

Well, you can always try NVAC new vegas anti-crash, (won't help with out of memory errors), but helps with crashes
