Plot help (Yes man & Omertas) [Spoilers!]
Once beaten the game on Hardcore mode, Killed all Deathclaws in Quarry Junction, Had the NCR Ending, Wiped out the Entire Brotherhood of Steel, Nuked The Legion Fort (Lonesome Road)... And helped The Omertas without knowing of their plan... Now that I want to complete the Yes Man Ending, I'm forced to report to Yes Man (Mainframe) that I helped the omertas to SLAUGHTER The Strip.

I want to prevent this from happening. I was little careless Since I replayed the game many times, I regret my decisions. Now, strangely enough If I kill the Omertas in Gomorrah I result into getting Infamity and I don't know how to break their plans.

I thought slaughtering them technically I will prevent them from Wiping out The strip but will that be counted in the plot?

Well for every action there is a reaction. Not sure really, finish the game and tell us what happens.

Kill both the omertas than every one else on the strip jk you could use a earlier save and than use console commands to get where you are or my favourite option live with your desicions see what happens

There was a point where I was helping the Omertas, completed one of the quests, and got a message that my reputation on the strip had suffered. I immediately reloaded a save prior to that point and held onto the items that I was supposed to deliver.

Anyway, after a good long while I was ready to wrap things up with Yes Man, but I didn't want to tell him to "ignore the Omertas." So, I got a couple of companions together and waltzed into Gomorrah. I told the guy at the entrance off and proceeded to clean house, but only by killing the hostiles.

So, I failed the Omerta quests but was finally able to tell Yes Man to "Forget the Omertas," though I would have preferred a better wording than that. It said that I had informed Yes Man that the Omertas were hostile to me. Then I was able to advance with my Independence for New Vegas story line.

My thoughts exactly but my companions will assault everyone in there, including prostitutes, gamblers and dealers. Looks like Obsidian didn't payed attention on that little detaill... I managed to kill Nero their leader, and I provoked nobody.

Companions pretty much always acted the same way in Fallouts. One extremity for example is if you shoot the head of the Wright family in Reno in FO2 and you have a companion standing outside, he'll automatically murder all children there since they are in the same faction as the actor you just made a hostile action against. Companions in combat are mostly like automated turrets. That like to stand in your way.

I went though the whole place, and there were areas where some of the gun toting Omerta thugs were not hostile, even when I picked locks to get into suites just to check things out. I did kill the two guys who would have been responsible for causing havok on the Strip even though they were not initially hostile to me at that point, having already killed Sal. My companions didn't go off against anyone who wasn't hostile.

UPDATE: I found the solution!
Using a holdout weapon, I went to Gomorrah and Killed Nero in Suites level. This alerted nobody, after that Big Sal Mysteriously dissapeared.
Then I went to report to Yes Man, and Chosen the option :"Forget about the omertas, they're more trouble than theire worth."

My OCD Is satisftied. Thanks to everyone for your advices!

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
