Fallout NV: Bloody Mess

Hello, I have a question regarding the Bloody Mess perk. I really enjoy the game and I would appreciate using the bonus damage from the perk but I am afraid that the "mess" it causes is a bit to much for me.
Is there a possibility to have it less visual and select this perk? I have already tried to look it up online but haven't found a satisfying answer.

What is it you are looking for though, a 5% damage bonus with no blood? Or just simple dismemberment?

The old Fallout games let you turn off all the gore. This one doesn't. It's not too bad though, you should be able to handle it. If you can't, you can reload a previous save and not take the perk.

The 5% damage bonus without the visual effect. I found it very disturbing to see what the perk is changing in the animation. I am okay with what I saw up until now when I shoot an enemy.
If there is no way i would rather not pick this perk but I thought there might be a way. :)

Try the no gore mod. Bloody Mess, IIRC, only adds a large multiplicator to the "dismemberment chance" game variable. If you set that to 0 with no-gore, it should have no effect apart from damage bonus.

Yes, it even says on the mod page http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41944/? At the bottom that it will remove the bloody mess explosion for you.

the only problem i had with the perk was it was too messy say you walk into a house and shoot them all up your are now knee deep in mush

The bloody mess perk gives a 5% bonus on damage with all weapons. I would recommend to read the text further than "let's make party with flying body parts".
