What is the best sniper character armor?

Now that I have my Gobi and Brush gun, I just need some sniping armor. Any suggestions? Also does anyone know when the medicine stick becomes available? like lvl wise

If you`re sniping that also means you`re sneaking. So you`d probably be best served with a sneaking suit - either the Hoover Dam ones or the MK2 from OWB - or just sticking to light armour.

As for Medicine Stick, I`ve never seen it not be at the Gun Runners shack when I get there so it can`t be massively beyond 15.

Of course none of those weapons are good for sniping comparatively. The Gobi is okay, but ultimately you`re better off with a AMR or Christines depending on how sneaky and critspeccy you are, and Medicine Stick has a pretty huge bullet spread.

Along with that, what melee weapon do you think is most effective for sneak attack kills? Thanks btw

Combat knives, Bowie knives and respective unique versions of them.

It depends on whether you want to take the light armour perks or not. If you do, Joshua Graham's SWAT vest and the Assassin Suit are the best sniper armours. If you don't, then the Elite Riot Gear and the Stealth Suit Mk. 2. All four all DLC armours from all four story DLCs.

I really like Joshua's armor, but sadly, it costs a LOT to repair and it decays really fast.

use Ulysses Duster. ....also repair with jury rigging, light armor repairs with literally any rag of clothing you can find.

It has 800 HP and repairs with leather armor. so its usable without jury rigging. also better crit%

lower weight and worse DT. but 200 HP vs 800 HP should help with the repairs.

Just about every play through I do I end up with a sniper/energy weapons character but I always use power armor. Thing is though I have high perception just about maxed out at 9 so I can have enemies show up earlier and I can sneak into a vantage point that keeps me out of their view but allows me to reach out and touch them.

You could go light armor to improve sneak but a sniper character should never get close enough that their sneak skill could get them spotted. Sniper characters are supposed to be long range characters and if you can see the red blips on your compass you should be able to get into a vantage point to pick them off while not alerting them to your presence. Especially if you have a silenced sniper rifle so they dont hear the shots. In my latest play through I noticed that unsilenced sniper rifles will alert the others to be cautious but a silenced one does not even if they walk over a body or the guys head next to them just explodes for no reason.

The reason I use power armor is personal preference, I like it as it gives me god like armor incase I find myself in a bad position and in this kind of bad position I am using my close range weapon and not my sniper rifle.
