REX THE DOG [SHOLVED]
Hi I'm going to take one of the brains for Rex but I have some questions.
I can use the tree brains or only one for the first time?
Which brain is the best?
If I want the dog of the legion but I'm of the NCR and the legion it's my enemy, how I can get that brain?

Can you put three brains in your head? The answer is true for the game too.

The best brain depends on your play style.
Rey's brain can make Rex a semi-feasible companion in combat in non-hardcore. It is also the only male dog brain for this male dog. (If you don't count the fallback option, the NCR guard dog.)
Lupa's brain is good for hardcore in the sense that Rex dies about 5 seconds slower than normally.
Violetta's brain would be awesome if you could control companion behaviour. The speed bonus is actually quite nice.

Ok thanks I'll use the Lupa's brain because I think it would be the best

Oh, and how getting it: you can get a pardon by Caesar once during the story, where you are pretty much required to visit the Fort. You can get the brain then.
The alternate way is to exploit some clipping bugs at the Hoover dam invisible walls, then do a few miracle jumps over some other invisible walls near the Legate's camp, which has a path to the Fort (not many people know it; the path is at the left from the main entrance, at the southern edge of the camp). You can just walk to the Fort then and get the brain any time. If you do this, be sure to NOT enter Caesar's tent or do so without getting near him, because he triggers the conversation of you starting the endgame, which can royally mess up a lot of quests.
It takes a lot of patience and practice to pull this off though, and having the Invisible wall remover mod helps a ton.

I think I'll use the bug because one time that I was with Boone we killed everyone in thee camp where I think you can travel to the fort but If do the bug it can be more "historical bugs" apart than the one that you've told me?

If you killed everyone there, then you are permanently out of luck, unless you use the console to progress in the quest and give yourself Lupa's brain. The invisible wall bypassing I was referring to is for times when you haven't been able to reach the Fort in the storyline and you want to go there earlier.

He was thinking more of being able to swap them like you can the OWB body parts.

I generally use Violla's brain because its... there. its like hey Rex you need a brain? Well I got one in my inventory cuz I picked it up, because I pick stuff up and I can't put it down. here you go boy.

You can always murder the legion dog in a raid and take its brain, but if you take a Legion dog brain than Boone will tell you he won't travel with the dog

Boone travels with me, I think is because I didn't asked him nothing or really talked with him

Why not just put boones brain in the dog? 2 for 1!

well you want boone for sniping, so you'll lose out on having a good shooter if you take boone's brain, since dog = no hands.

Because he doesn't want to make the mutt dumber?

So a little cybernetic trickery and a human brain with robot arms, and you could have a dog and all it's great skills plus boones sniping skills ;)
