Trouble with Rex and the Console
I can't seem to use moveto player with Rex.
I try clicking him and I've tried prid 10d8df. Tried it both ways. It doesn't give me an error in console or anything. But it will never actually bring rex to me.
I've tried disable and enable, I've tried resurrect 1, I've tried to dismiss him and re-hire him. But I can't get it to work.

Any suggestions or fixes?

That is unusual. Even in the most extreme cases the disable-enable-kill-resurrect-disable-enable-moveto player combo never should fail.
try the other way around, with player.moveto to see if you can teleport to him.

I tried it. And I can move to him. But I still can't make him move to me.

There is another trick… Pick an item near you that is not an obviously upscaled huge rock where the model's center is way inside the meshes. Use the console to get its ref ID, and try to teleport Rex to this ref ID instead of the player. (Used this trick once when I got fed up with Boone and teleported him in the center of Cottonwood Cove from the rige and watched how long can he really last. Didn't even manage to kill a single guy.)

Well, I figured out that it was, oddly enough, a mod called Zombie Land. That was super heavily alpha. So I turned off the mod, and now Rex works like he's supposed to.
I didn't think mods would mess with that kind of stuff. Especially when it doesn't even touch Rex. But there ya go.

If that's the zombie mod I think it is. It contains an uncompiled copy of virtually every script in the game, thereby breaking pretty much everything, not to mention the ton of other crap included.
It was fairly clear the mod author didn't know what they were doing.

That is indeed the mod in question. Yeah. I already thought it was a pretty shoddy mod, just walking through it. Stuff was missaligned. You could walk through buildings. It was pretty amature. But I ddin't expect it to just destory everything. XD

Yeah, which is why I downloaded it in the first place. I was like "Eh, it can't be THAT bad. Looks like he really wants it to be good. And I like spooky stuff, so why not?"
