Gonna shoot for a specific question on a in-game quest...
i'm on the mission "still in the dark", and i've got one Holotape left to get on the brotherhood of steel guy at Repconn HQ. Now, my mistake was that i tried to run to the top floor past the security bots and grab it real quick, but that obviously wasn't working; set off the alarm and they all started shooting at me. I managed to make it back outside before they could kill me.

I've figured out how i need to get up there and get it, but my problem is, that every time i step inside, the alarm goes off and they start shooting again. Ive tried waiting a week in-game and it still doesnt help.. Does anybody remember this mission? any ideas?

If you're in godmode, you dont lose bullets.

I always go for a sneak/sniper build so I usually just use robotics expert to disable any robot I meet.

There is an employee card in the building. You can also hack the face recognition robot of every level, granting you access to the whole building without ever getting any security systems hostile, ever.

There's various bugs regarding how robots handle security cards etc. which YUP and alternatively maybe Mission Mojave will fix (Both are mods which strive to only fix problems and not introduce new features unless it is absolutly required to work around an issue that can't be fixed).

I would avoid the more popular Mission Mojave+ (Note the Plus) mod unless you've already beaten the game before because the Plus version does more than bug fixes. I would not use the mods in conjunction with each other.

theres like 200 rounds of microfusion cells in that place and the unique plasma rifle. and you are concerned about ammo? and 2 energy weapon skill books.

you can also lower the game difficulty if you want to save ammo and meds. wouldn't fast travel for a bed, I'd just eat/drink various things personally, kinda what those piles of sunset sasparilla are for IMO. 50 HP a bottle.

That´s by far the easiest way to the mission and getting the holotapes. you should try to find it before running to the top floor.

i ran to the top floor when i first came in, which, as i said, was a dumb mistake.. after that i proceeded to take out the sentry bots one by one. i found all of the employee cards and hacked the computer for facial recognition. The alarms and sentry bots never stopped. just had to take them all out. No worries though, got what i needed.

Once the alarms start they never end no matter what you do,at least in Vanilla FNV,but anyways you won´t need to go there again, provided that you loot the floor before leaving.
