Graphics.
I was expecting the pc version of this game to be graphicly amazing but im dissapointed that it's no better than the console version. I set up 1080P and all settings max but the graphics still looks like a ps2 texture and animation is awkward. I was playing "The Last Of Us" on ps3 and asked myself why does console have better graphics and superior animation than pc? I dont know maybe console has fairies working on every console? maybe

Funny how a four year old game running a decade old engine would look less impressive than a recent release, eh?

Hmm... :)

As been said, this is a four year old game running on an archaic game engine. Do the math.

Also - as was the standard of the day (and the standard of today) - the PC port used the exact same 256k textures as the console version.

♥♥♥♥ - even *Skyrim* did that and hurridly pushed out a 'high-res' (which was no such thing) pack after people screamed at them for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slacking with that port.

Though I don't understand all of your complaint. You are *not* going to be running FONV at 1080p and 60+ FPS on either of the consoles no matter what you do, at least the PC version has a hi-res texture mod available *and* you can push out the view and 'spawn in' distances much further than what the launcher allows (if your PC is good enough not to choke on it). The console versions are 'you take what we give you and you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like it peasant' all the way.

And as for the not better graphics, Watch_Dogs finally revealed us the truth.

This honestly feels like a troll post. Of course an old game on an even older engine won't look as good as something not very old and made to run specifically on a set of hardware the develops have years of experience with. And as others have said, This game would not run on consoles 1080p at a constant 60fps. I played countless hours on the Xbox versiona nd it ran like total ♥♥♥♥ at the best of times. Animation I can't really defend much, it is pretty damn jank.

And please, enough with phrases such as 'it looks like a ps2 game'. Go back an play an older PS2 game, and come back and see New Vegas looks worse than that.

Metal Gear Solid 2:Son's Of Liberty (ps2) released on 2001 has better character design and animation than this game. Look at raiden and solid snake when swimming on water and walking/running/sneaking on a stair animation looks incredible. F.E.A.R pc (2005) has better texture, shadows, and particle effects on a sub 720p resolution compared to new vegas 1080p resolution but with bad texture and bad looking shadow. Kameo:elements of power xbox360 (2005) on sdtv has better texture and character design than New Vegas, look at the beautiful grasses on Enchanted kingdom map. Call Of Duty 4:Modern Warfare 2007 xbox360 has better texture and shadow than New Vegas, look at the photo realistic level of pripyat ukraine is gorgeous at sdtv than New Vegas on 1080p. Red Dead Redemption (open world) xbox360 2010 has better graphics and animation on sdtv than New Vegas on 1080p. L.A. Noire on xbox360 2011 has better character detail/design,level design, superior animation, map, better texture than New Vegas. Far Cry 2 pc 2008 has better texture, grass, trees, explosion, shadows, fire than New Vegas or latest games today. Older games has better graphics than New Vegas.

Just don't play it, man, just quit it. ))

As I said, animations are hank. But then again this is an rpg, not a stealth game with a short game time and highly focused development. I played fear and I don't really see how it looks any better.

You are comparing a huge open world game to those with small levels where they can focus in the detail as they make a handful of levels compared to a gigantic freely exploitable open world. If you're comparing it to games like that then yeah, you're gonna be disappointed.

Don't the console versions also lack AF and/or AA completely?

They don't go above 30fps either. I don't know about how bad the dips in New Vegas can get but I know oblivion on the Ps3 felt like it was chugging around 20fps sometimes.

It probably does lack AA and AF. Though 7th gen supported MSAA, the GameBryo engine games' ports were… well, you could tell that the engine was never intended to use for anything else than (Windows) PCs.
