Im only able to carry 5 gold bar. Should i be satisfied with them, or should i get rid of all my weapons and apparel(excluding holorifle + some rare clothes) and carry more golds?

Up to you. One bar is enough to buy ammo for one weapon for the rest of the game, even if you teleported to the bunker from the Doc's house.

Didn't you learn anything from the storyline, the hardest part is letting go. At least keep the Holorifle that gun is only found once.

Holorifle, M1918 BAR and the Assassin Suit should be kept in a storage at least. The other stuff is optional, the real reward is the vending machine I think with its capability of near-infinite stimpaks and/or WRKs.

You can escape with all the gold bars if you got a little sneak skill+ a stealth boy. Will probably take a few attempts but it is possible.

i got all 37 gold bars...u need sneak to reach the elevator without elijah cathcing u then its best to have maybe like the long haul perk so that u can fast travel while over encumbered....otherwise u have to take many trips back and forth to get all ur gold bars in like ur safe

You could have gotten all 37 gold bars just to let you know. But that's not the real prize. It's the complimentary voucher that can be redeemed for 1000 chips with the vending machine in the Abandoned BoS Bunker every 3 days. The chips can of course be used for an endless supply of stimpaks, doctors bags, etc. provided you have the codes. If you didn't get the voucher, you'll probably be disappointed, unfortunately.

Just get all 37 gold bars. It takes a long time (lots of fast-travelling and waiting) to sell them for their worth in caps, but you can't let all that gold go to waste, can you?

I got all 37 bars with no stealthboy, but with a high sneak skill. There's just a few moments that you need to know to escape without being catch.

The gold represents the obsession that characters feel and it helps you sympathise with the other characters as they must let go. Elijah wants the power of the sierra madre. God wants control and Dog to eat. Christine wants revenge. Dead wants to retribution against Frederick by piliging his private Casino and Frederick wants his love Vera to be safe inside the Sierra Madre.
