Character age.
Some of the NPCS refer to the courier as a "kid." One of them being the rude guy in the Atomic Wrangler. I was just wondering if you made your Courier an old man; would it change any dialogue with certain NPCS? I've never tried it.

It makes no difference. I tend to be middle-aged characters, and made an old guy once, they still call you 'kid'.

A lot of people tend to use 'kid' as a derogatory term even for people close to them in age.

Bethesda rushed the game to have about a year of development so they never focused on stuff like that.

Well I do feel young when I sprint around deathclaws...

Very much so. And in every case that it is used, it is uttered either by people doing it for that very reason (McCaffrey, Benny, etc) or by people who are legitimately old (Johnson Nash, Judah Kreger, etc).

I thought this was the case. Thanks.

Not everyone. The old rancher guy hanging out on the Strip calls you a kid. He is friendly though. I think some old folks just refer to younger people as a kid because you're still young. You're right though.

Which is funny, because if you consider the dialogues in HH and LR, the courier is at least in the mid 30s.
