How to get into the Strip from Freeside???

I've spent the last 30 minutes walking around Freeside and for the life of me I can't find any entrances to the strip... It's all blocked out by fences....

If you are already in Freeside go to the Followers base there. Instead of going right to them go left and you will see a subway car. It will take you to the entrance of the strip.

Wow. I must've walked by that subway car 50 times. I never knew it was an entrance.

not a problem. also you will need 2000 caps, a high science skill, or a vip ticket to get into the strip after you go through the car.

To add to jmckee22 post for the V.I.P pass you need to beat the kings quest line and then at the end ask for a V.I.P pass but your prob should not ask for it as if you do all the side quest in freeside and do a little bit of looting you will have more then enough caps.

Also the 2000 caps arn't taken away they just want to know if you have enough to spend at the strip and aren't poor.

also if u want go talk to mick and if your speech is high enough he can forge you the vip card before finishing the king quest. also doing missions around freeside should make you enough money

Or if you have enough luck you can get the money from the atomic wrangler....which is what I generally do if I don't use the monorail.

I personally wouldnt advise the VIP ticket, as if your in freeside its easy just to get the 2k caps, and save the kings favour.

i know you can get it anyway if you con him in to telling you about it and then buy it off of him

Max your repair up to 90, when you get to level 14, choose Jury Rigging as a perk. With this perk , you can repair hunting rifles and hunting shotguns with cheapo varmint rifles, caravan shotguns, and single shotguns, repair and sell, you will be swimming in caps in no time, getting past the 2000 cap check will be no problem.

Jury rigging was made pointless with Dead Money though, unless you are wearing some special armour and go into combat all the time.
