Hardest enemy
I gotta go with the Legendary Bloatfly. I don't think you can even kill him in a fair fight.

I've only been able to kill him by abusing his dumb AI. By pecking at his health when he's behind a wall trying to shoot me.That does not always work because he jerks around erratically and randomly. Just getting hit by one of his plasma shots; nearly oneshots and cripples my tanky courier. I've been instant killed by him with weaker couriers.

Legendary Cazador, When it gets you (along with the 20 others) its certain death or alot of stimpacks

I bet Annabelle loaded with High Explosive missiles would instant kill all of those Cazadores in one shot. I will have to try it.

Bloatfly is the most dangerous, but probably not even in the top 25 of hardest fights in the game. Heck, a single wandering cazador near the wind farm can be more dangerous than the bloatfly.

As for most difficult, probably the legendary deathclaw? I mean it needs some preparation since circle-strafing is not an option right off the bat. (On the other hand if you can kill the deathclaw guarding the cave entrance without alerting all others, the whole area can be done with enough mines and good luring.)
Or maybe Elijah if you didn't disable the turrets with robotic expert perk near the vault.
Although many people say they have problems with Ulysses too, for some reason.

A single normal Cazador more dangerous than the legendary Bloatfly? You're joking right? Cazadors are a challenge for low-mid level couriers. At higher levels I haven't had too much trouble with them.

With the perks you can get in Old World Blues. Cazadors become Freeside thug tier..

You can get posion immunity and 30% Damage boost against them. There is also a few perks you can get on top of that in the vanilla game.

I find Nightstalkers more deadly than Cazadors. High damage and knockdown. The NightStalkers in Old World Blues are especially annoying.

What about Rawr?

The Bloatfly isent too bad i sneek killed it with the 50cal sniper rifle useing explosive rounds in 2 shots with the better crits perk.
The legendary deathclaw is a pain to kill as he is with a bunch of outher deathclaw's in a cave.

what about the Deathclaw from the Lonesome Road DLC. The scary one who locks you in his cave

Not really. A cazador can damage you. Unless you really mess up, the legendary bloatfly cannot. Therefore it is less dangerous. :)

The only reason people have problems with Ulysses, is because if you don't kill him quick enough, Marked men start pouring in and the mixture of the two can be an issue. I know had trouble with him on my first playthrough of the DLC. Ulysses also hits pretty hard with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ staff. But then again, I just played through Lonesome Road again and was able to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of Ulysses single handedly with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ supersledge so....who knows. Super Slam for the win!

Its kindof a toss up really.

Legendary Bloatfly

Legendary Cazador

Legendary Deathclaw

Legendary Nightstalker

Max Level Lonesome Road Deathclaws

Max Level Giant X42 Roboscorpion

Cazadors while the player is at low level.

And Specimen 73.

They all have varying statistics but all have increadibly high health pools and/or DPS. Specimen 73 is almost impossibly fast.

And as Lord Popo said Ulysses can be a total pain if you cant kill him fast enough before Marked Men swarm you to death. But his boss battle isnt that hard if you can kill him before the room is flooded with other hostile NPCs. NV has a decent amount quite difficult bosses unlike Fallout 3 which is a cake walk once you get the Winterized Power Armor and the Tesla Cannon. It basically trivializes all the enemies in game except the high level mutants in Point Lookout.

Ah, the cazador boss in OWB, right. It can be really messy since you have to meet it while it's standing right at the door.
But the giant robo-scorpion? First time I played, I just let the training robots out, and they killed it with losing only one of them. The record so far was one time when I had to activate the turrets before it died.

I'm going to have to go with Deathclaws, they are the scariest things to go up against.

Legendary bloatfly is a cake walk with a melee based character but if you are using guns or energy weapons that is an entirely different story.

fallout 3 :the behemoth that doesn't like his teddy taken.
fallout nv: legendary deathclaw, is it even possible to survive a hit from that thing?

If you have a high DT and health and block its attack but that would not be recommended because it might cripple you which would lead to your death anyway.
