killing BoS, keeping Veronica happy *spoilers*
In my current run, I'm going for a House ending, which I've never done before. I know I eventually have to take out the BoS for this. Hopefully, that self-destruct terminal I found in there will do the trick, but I don't think I could survive a direct attack.

I've already done their quests and joined the BoS, but then things got a little hot with Veronica's quest and I basically talked her into leaving (and, in my mind, I left myself). Once all that was done, I dismissed Veronica as I want to solo as much as possible. I still need to get to her later, as I want to eventually get her that dress.

I know that if I kill the BoS, then Veronica will totally hate me. I've heard that there are ways around this, but I can't find any specifics. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks.

You could just use the HouseBrotherhoodAlliance mod if you are member of the BoS.
The way around for companions is usually equipping a faction armour by the way. It seems to override other checks, not just for Boone and Arcade.

well you can convince her to leave the BOS and join another factions by dialouge, just follow the stream of her questlines and you will see it

Just do all the missions you can do for the brotherhood before you blow them up. That way your reputation will be bad but mixed and She will give you a warning to knock it off

It is possible to hace veronica still like you as long as you maxed out BOS reputation you can blow up the bunker without veronica hating you I have done this but you just need to make sure you rep is high as long as you aren't villified you should be okay.

How do I know if it's maxed? I did the final initiation mission and they gave me a key to a safehouse. I don't think there are any more missions there to do to up my rep, right?

Idolized is the highest, vilified is lowest. Without the dlc the highest you can get with BoS is "Liked". If you have the Lonesome Road, you can get idolized by BoS by picking 1 out of the 4 choices in the end. I haven't tried it yet, but I believe in order for Veronica to leave you, you have to be vilified, which is impossible if you already have a "liked" reputation. Once you destroy it, you should be getting the "Soft-Hearted Devil" title. Just search this up in the wiki and you will get all the info you need, because according to it there are other ways to destroy the BoS without losing reputation. Just make sure that whatever you do, you leave a save just in case.

According to the wiki, " Once activated, the player becomes vilified by the Brotherhood." regarding the self destruct, but players' experiences have been different?

No, I did all the missions for them and killed them the most peacefull way with the self destruct and ran off and she told me not do that again to the mass graveyard

"If Veronica is your companion, destroying the bunker may set your reputation with the Brotherhood to Vilified, in which case she abandons you as a companion and cannot be recruited again. If you complete the quests Pistol Packing, Still in the Dark (favoring McNamara) and Eyesight to the Blind, this will earn enough positive favor with the Brotherhood for the reputation "Soft-Hearted Devil", and Veronica will stay." - straight from the same page.

You can also destroy the bunker using the "Kill all Brotherhood personnel" method.

I know that i am like 2 years late, but i could keep her as a follower when i killed the brotherhood without her. Im not sure but i cant remember that she said anything about it after. And as long as i didnt go to the hiddenvalley with here it was fine.

On my last playthrough (Legion) literally just after I emerged from blowing up the bunker, that one girl comes out and tells me that since I've been so nice to the Brotherhood, she's going to leave me some extra energy cells in a storage bin. Veronica was just as chipper as ever when I recruited her later. I didn't talk her into leaving on that playthrough, and I'd reached "idolized" just before blowing it up.

Veronica only aggros you if you tell her that you murdered them, or your BOS rep is villified. If it's better, and you don't tell her, she won't agro. You can take her down in the bunker with you when you slaughter them. With a zap glove, she's an amazingly strong anti-power armor buddy, and she has the physical stats to tank the battle.
