My favorite is Raul because if you give him a Medicine Stick after doing Old School Ghoul he's awesome, but not only that, he's a joy to be around. He's pretty funny and I like sarcastic people. Personal preference.
If you want to have modded companions I suggest Willow. She's fairly OP when you max out her skills, she helped me kill everyone in the BoS Bunker in Hidden Valley. IMO one of the best companions you can get.
Oh you mean 'blood'', the talking dog from the post apocalyptic movie ''a boy and his dog'' ?

ED-E and Rex aren't very powerful. Rex can help you find lost weapons if your other companion drops theirs. ED-E works well in combination with Boone for finding targets.
Her perk really is lame though. And even with top-shelf equipment I still think Lily is a better melee companion.
You HAVE to watch it ! Its... Damn, I don't have words for this !
I really have to learn gow to craft bullets and start to travel light just to be able to gowithout a companion from time to time. I think I preferred my first hoiurs in the gamen when I was alone.
But, well, maybe I'll try Raoul, and also come back to the main story to increase the difficulty. But, yesn Veronica is boringn, burt she seems to be quite powerfull in melee.
