What is the best companion ?
I ask this question because my game became too easy since I picked Veronica and equipped her with a paladin's armor. I like the fact that she can carry stuff for me and helped me to get in her people's place but now, everytime I'm attacked I don't have time to react that she have already killed everyone. I've set the game one level above to try to balance. But now I'm in trouvble too often lol

The best would be a follower that can defend itself and gives a hand, but doesn't act like a tank. I guess Ed is like that. Is there another one like this ? A doctor or a cook would be perfect....

All of them have strenghts, although most people like Boone. He can hit anything from the other end of the map, but he is also so dumb that tends to believe "sniping" equals "run to its face and pull the trigger when you are in arm's reach". Veronica is a good dps character but her reliance on close-quarters combat can get her killed quickly. Raul is a beast if you wish to force him back to the gunslinging business. Lily is cumbersome, but hits hard. I mean hard. ED-E is used only as a mobile workbench.

It depends on your playstyle, really.
My favorite is Raul because if you give him a Medicine Stick after doing Old School Ghoul he's awesome, but not only that, he's a joy to be around. He's pretty funny and I like sarcastic people. Personal preference.

If you want to have modded companions I suggest Willow. She's fairly OP when you max out her skills, she helped me kill everyone in the BoS Bunker in Hidden Valley. IMO one of the best companions you can get.

Thats a tossup. I truly like having the "man's best friend" kind of apacolypse so i always try to have dogmeat with me. I forget which game hes in but, even if he isnt in NV id still try to find a dog. If no then definetly Niner- hes a companion mod but he is really well put together.

Oh you mean 'blood'', the talking dog from the post apocalyptic movie ''a boy and his dog'' ?

What is this movie, and why haven't i seen it.
Arcade Ganon is my favorite. Opinions about everything in the wasteland. Tries to pull the Courier into his line of thinking. Feels the most alive to me. Might be the best party member I've ever had in a game.
Stop spamming.

Boone has in my opinion the most useful companion perk and the best default weapon. Lily is most helpful for stealth melee characters and is extremely hard to kill. Veronica's power is lame and isn't really tough enough to stand up in melee like Lily can. I haven't used Cass or Raoul very much. Arcade uses energy weapons and boosts healing. He isn't very tough without power armor.

ED-E and Rex aren't very powerful. Rex can help you find lost weapons if your other companion drops theirs. ED-E works well in combination with Boone for finding targets.

Give Veronica a super-heated saturnite fist and you'll learn how false that statement is.

Her perk really is lame though. And even with top-shelf equipment I still think Lily is a better melee companion.

You HAVE to watch it ! Its... Damn, I don't have words for this !

I really have to learn gow to craft bullets and start to travel light just to be able to gowithout a companion from time to time. I think I preferred my first hoiurs in the gamen when I was alone.

But, well, maybe I'll try Raoul, and also come back to the main story to increase the difficulty. But, yesn Veronica is boringn, burt she seems to be quite powerfull in melee.

Hi, you might enjoy using Cass. Her default weapon is not very powerful, you you might have more time to get some shots off.

I tend to like Raul the best for personality and gunslinger skills. Next I say Veronica because she is, to me from experience, really great at melee in comparison to Lily for she does not get in the way of bullets when you use a gun. Game wise Boone seems to be the best since he seems to do a ton of damage and seems almost like he never misses but I just dislike Boone I normaly kill him and steal his hat for the 3% crit chance and kill manny also for his hat to give to my companion to wear.

You mentioned doctor, so I reccomend Arcade Gannon of the Followers of the Apocalypse.
