Why are Cazador's so OP?
They are a constant threat early levels, and nearly everywhere, you can't outrun them, and it's impossible to kill them unless you somehow get thousand of caps for a good gun and the right ammo for them (Armor piercing) and before you higher end players start making yourselves look like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s stateing their easy, not everyone has what you have or plays the same way as you. For me, I require a scope on a rifle to truely shine, because of this, I'm stuck with lower tier weapons at the moment, but that's not the point, Even when I use armor piercing I still do very little damage without the bug stomper, and whatever that other perk is that deals 50% more damage to bugs, and even then I need to switch to very easy unless I want my ♥♥♥ handed to me!

They are supposed to be a threat at earlier levels. They exist to prevent you from storming north and follow along with the story instead. If you play the game as it is intended, then you won't see any cazadors for a long time.

^^This.

I didn't encounter any of those crazy bugs until level 20, so I stopped going to those areas. Now I'm level 30 and I slaughter them.

There is a cazador nest near Novac, you can very easily bump into it.

You mean all the way across 93 near the wind farm? I guess it is easy to bump into it if you randomly decide to walk in the opposite direction of any of the quests you'll have at the time.

Ya, I live in Novac, and have for probably about 30+ game hours, and I haven't seen that Cazadore nest. :|

Taking the Entomologist perk gives you +50% damage when attacking cazadors.

Go to the boot leg brewery, then head up the hill. A shotgun, at least lever action or a roit shotgun isn't bad on them. The 12.7 mm machine gun is by far the best weapon I've found. A lot of the indians have them. But you have to go thru the nortern passage and complete it before you can come back. Make as many weapon repair kits as you can. When you get to a workbench even if you can't make them it will show you what you need. Oh yeah, there's a death claw in the town you come to after the cardoza's.

Make sure not to take your heart back though! If you take it back you only get 50% poison resistance.

More correctly, there are cazadors to the north of Goodsprings. Sunny Smiles even tells you that the roads north are unsafe due to wildlife, and the main quest marker points south. If you're getting killed by cazadors at a low level, then I'm sorry mate, but you're playing the game wrong.

it's an open world rpg, there's no such thing as 'playing the game wrong'

There's always such a thing as playing the game wrong. This game has an obvious intended path inserted by the developers during the whole first act. You're free to stray away from that path, but you don't get to complain about the consequences if you do.

This one really isn't "open world". Story-driven in New Vegas.

Show me this mythical game then, where I can win any fight at level 1 (surely, in an open world RPG I should be able to walk up to the leader of the biggest faction and kill him, his bodyguards and his entire army, right?). If you see cazadors, radscorpions and deathclaws, the game is giving you a hint to NOT ENGAGE them until you have something better than the starting gun and a rusty pipe

Uhm… you CAN win any fight on level 1, even the legendary bloatfly one, since most of the high-end gear has pre-set spawn points and not tied to character progress. It just turns combat into trial and error, a ton of careful planning using statistics, plus a lot of hit-and-run situations.
red255 2015년 2월 2일 오전 4시 05분
the bloatfly is more of standing in a place where you can hit it, and its shots go into a wall.

none of that statists bull.

But yeah I got project Nevada, I stick on the implant and I walk into the cave with the legendary cazadore. I get to the end haven't seen anything, turn around and theres 1 cazadore on very low health and I remembers my implant got them to kill each other. and was like... oh. thats powerful.
