You know the ghoul dude who wants 1 cap for a hint in freeside? He says it'll take 250 to get the password to the free food room or whatever.

But whenever I give him the 250, he just says he might need to go visit the atomic wrangler tonight and the dialouge stops. I tried to then check to see if that was somehow the password incase, but no, he literally just took my caps, that's it.

Help? I need this to help the king, so that the king will let me into the strip, so I can kill whoever that suit-guy is!

Talk to the missionaries in the squatter area near one of the entrances. You can get the password from them after passing a quick quiz and a speech check.
You can also just steal a note from them that has the password.
You can also talk to Julie at the mormon fort. If you are friends with the FoA, she will help you get inside the NCR soup kitchen.
