Received All DLC for Free? Help!
So, I woke up this morning thinking, "Hmm, I want to play Fallout New Vegas again!" I've been toying around with some mods and playing my own permadeath runs (I just delete the save if I die). Well I went to download some more mods today, and I was having various issues with crashes on start up, mods conflicting, etc. I just figured it was the typical mod issues so I spent a good deal fixing it. Well, I realized that anytime I start a new game, it acts as if I have all of the DLC. The DLC appears on Nexus Mod Manager, data files in the launcher, and under Downloadable Content in game. Regardless of whether I turn the plugins on or off, they pop up in game. Steam says that I do not own the DLC, and I did not get it from a friend. What's going on?

I mean, I'm not complaining. I really like Dead Money and Old World Blues (played those two and Honest Hearts on console). I guess I'm mostly concerned with the fact that regardless of whether the plugins are checked or not, they still operate.

I assume not? Another concern is I don't know how mods requiring DLC will operate.

They will operate like any other mod.

You have a private profile so I cannot check your games if you have the DLC on your account or not.
What you describe though is Ultimate Edition behaviour. It has a set of files that force-loads the DLC even if it is unchecked in the Data window.

The same thing happened to me yesterday at about 12:00 AM. I just went on and it was there. I'm really confused and wondering if it was just a glitch.
