Windows 10 and 4GB enabler updated.
Soo, i updated to windows 10 a while ago, and i've been modding TTW for the playthrough i started today. The issue i've been having is, whenever the game reaches the 2.5 gb usage mark, it just simply crashes and i get the error message "OUT OF MEMORY" even though i have the 4gb enabler updated. Been trying to fix this the past two hours and i finally though i got it working, guess i was wrong, cause i was i was JUST playing the game for around an hour + and i once again got the "OUT OF MEMORY" error when trying to enter the super duper market. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using mod organizer and i never had this issue on windows 8.1 pro.

I already have NVAC, stutter remover, and the built in purging. Zan's is obsolete. I see you everywhere and you always come with these silly comments, ofc people already have these mods installed. And just to let you know, i'm limited to the vanilla memory usage for some reason and those mods you listed wouldn't do anything to fix that.

You probably have some mods conflicting with other mods. Because I have 70+ mods and TTW and it runs flawless. But I do the ""pcb" command to clear the cache from time to time just to make sure I won't have a crash.

I don't think you read my post... My game is crashing at the 2.5gb ram usage point. It's supposed to hold up to 4.5 before it crashes with the 4gb enabler. AND NO. I don't have any mod conflicts, i have been creating mods, and modding the game for years, so i'm not some newbie. And also, you don't need to run the pcb command if you enable the built in purging.(You can find instructions on TTW's website from Roy.)

If its crashing at *2.5 GB* then the 4 GB mod *is* working.

Vanilla FNV does not have the LAA flag set and will not use more than *2.0 GB* of RAM.

And the 4GB patch will not allow you to access more than 4 GB of RAM (not 4.5) as FNV is a 32 bit application.

There's likely some incompatibility between W10 and 4GB NV (though, make doubly sure that you're using the correct version of 4GB - there's two on the Nexus and one is defunct and not supported anymore but the authors won't take it down, even though they're the same guys who did the more recent version) but W10 is simply too new.

Any problems you are having would be better addressed there.

The only other thing I can think of is to ensure that you are running it as Administrator.

Rclick on icon ans select 'Run as Administrator'.

Or run in W7 comp mode.

I was running it in admin mode and like i already said, i have the updated one. I even uninstalled 4gb and i was able to reach 2.5 before crash.

RAM or VRAM?

That 4GB of RAM limit is the total between video RAM and system RAM. It might be using 2.5GB of system RAM, but if you have more than 1.5GB of video RAM, it's going to be out of available memory and crash.

I have 16gb ddr3 kingston hyper x ram at 1866mhz..

It doesn't matter if you have 16GB or or 64GB. FNV is a 32bit program and can only access a total of 4GB of RAM. That total includes both VRAM and system RAM. The task manager might be showing the process using 2.5GB of system RAM, but it is also loading textures into VRAM. If the VRAM usage is over 1.5GB you will crash because 2.5GB of system RAM plus 1.5GB of VRAM is 4GB total.

Also keep in mind, even though a 32-bit process should be able to access up to 4GB of RAM, most of the time they don't work well or crash if they try to use more than around 3.5GB.
