Pimp Boy 3 Billion not equipping?

I've heard that this is a really rare bug, and I cannot find a fix to this, but whenever I try to equip the Pimp Boy 3 Billion through Mick, it plays the music and says that it is equipped, but my pip-boy stays the same. I have tried to use console commands to access the pimp boy as well, before you recommend me to use those. Any suggestions?

Yeah, nothing I try will equip it. It will say "Pimp Boy 3 Billion Equipped", then play the music. But the Pimp Boy will not show up on my arm.

Even with console commands it won't work.

Try loading an earlier save and talking to Mick again. In a lot of cases doing just that seems to help.
Also: Have you only added it to your inventory? You'll have to enter player.equipitem 11bacb, too. If that doesn't work try removing it via player.removeitem 11bacb 1 and adding it again via player.additem 11bacb 1( and equipping it again). Make sure to also unequip it via player.unequipitem 11bacb before you remove it from your inventory.

I'll try it from an earlier save. And yes, I have tried equipping it, this isn't my first experience with console commands.

I have tried all console commands, equip and give item, I have tried talking to him and restarting and loading an earlier save. Has anyone else has this problem nd fixed it?

Do a file revalidation to check if the file is even there. And do you have some mod that may affect this?

I'll revalidate it, but no, no mods at the time. I have moved on to get Readius, but I can disable and enable it just fine, and my normal pip boy will be there, and I don't think that Project Nevada does anything like that.

Sorry if I'm reviving an old thread, but I just figured this thing out. Use the console to unequip the pip boy, then equip the pimp boy with the console. Worked for me.

Thank you so much! I have been playing fallout new vegas again and i finded this issue and doing that fixed!
