What is your computer exactly?
Generally speaking, you need at least 6 GB RAM (1600 MHz or faster preferred, but not essential), a GPU with an architecture created after 2009, and an AMD FX 8xxx, AMD A10 7850/70, or Intel Core i5/i7 quad core. Better i3s can suffice too, but not if they are laptop chips.

dont need 6gb ram since NV is capped at 2gb. there is a mod that ups it too 4gb. check store page for what you need

how ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥? it would help to know...

there are mods out there to reduce or remove stuttering, reduce crashes, there's also a few large unofficial bug fix mods

you could always try running the game on low... or medium and tuning down shadows, view range, water reflections... stuff like that

For those graphics you need the 4 GB enabler and at least half gig for the system to work normally. Since you cannot really get 4.5 or 5 GB of RAM, but can have 2+2+2 or 4+2 sticks, 6 GB is the next reasonable amount.

EHEM, technically you could get 4.5 or 5gb, not that you would want to, you'd end up crippling your system with the mismatched ram sticks

best advice you can give someone regarding ram is to always use the same branded sticks in each slot, using different brands with different capacities is asking for trouble

Eh, in my experience as long as the frequency and the latency match, it doesn't really matter what brand it is.

Processor AMD 16-3670 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.70 GHz, RAM 8GB and a 64 bit operating system, my CPU is also a five core, I don't know much but i think thats a decent gaming computer, until you realise that it's on its last legs, I've used it for years, It used to run pretty good graphics very well, But i think it's slowed down since then, Or atleast somethings happened, I just want some recomended specs, Before i either upgrade or replace my computer.
NuPe Jul 15, 2015 @ 10:41am
APU... wasn't that the llano processors? the ones that were meant to be tied in with a low profile AMD graphics card?

I don't know much about computer, So...
talgaby Jul 16, 2015 @ 12:00am
APUs are CPU+GPU in one chip, yes. They are good low to mid range gaming chips, actually.

On the other hand…
An A6-3670 is one of the lowest-powered APUs, and like many AMD chips after Phenom II and before FX 8000, they have trouble with single-core operations. Which this game relies on.
So the answer to your original question: with this APU forget most of the large mods, especially the graphical ones (they still need CPU, not GPU). Don't even dream about ENB…

Again, I know my computer will ♥♥♥♥ itself if i try it, i want to know some good reccomended specs, I'm going to have to upgrade or replace my computer eventually, so might aswell ask if anybody knows some good gaming specs.

Depends on your budget. For little money an APU can be a good alternative, really. You can build a decent rig that can play modern games at 1080p medium with a higher-end A8 or A10 out of 500-600 USD (450-550 EUR).

For mid-range, either buy an AMD FX 8xxx or for a little more money an Intel Core i5 4790 with either an AMD R7/R9 or nVidia GTX 770 or better.

For long term either wait until the new AMDs release to see what they can do in reality, or get an i5 4790, i7, and a GTX 970.

An SSD for a system is highly recommended (Samsung's 850 EVO is good for a good price), for everything else a HDD will suffice.
For memory, don't even think about less than 8 GB, but 16 GB will be the new standard soon for gaming (4 GB and 8 GB for home use, depending on what you do). 1600 MHz is a good choice since it can give about 2-5% boost for almost no price increase. Over that only if you roll in money.

I'm looking for specs that can run A LOT of fallout mods with atleast a constant 30FPS EDIT: On a side note, Do you know any easy way to merge .esp files? I'm getting close to the plugin limit.

mods don't have much effect on performance unless you're running some pretty heavy texture mods

not sure of any easy or hard way to merge .esp files because i'm not a modder =), but i'm sure there are guides out there, on the nexus site perhaps

Then high-end i5s and i7s, they have the raw power to muscle through the bad CPU handling of the engine.
Although if you mean a lot by a few dozen or so, pretty much anything I listed above can do that.
