Items not lootable

Hello. I just reinstalled Fallout New Vegas, put up the unofficial patch, 4gb, anticrash, casm, zan and stutter remove. I started the game and can't loot any items that are inside of chests, crates or anywhere else. anyone got any idea where this bug comes from and how to remove it?

probably zan. Turn off the mod see if containers are affected. I have most of the other stuff other than zan and never experienced problems, and i know zan has built in cell purging or something, maybe thats the problem?

I even tried without all of the above mods, clear install. Still got the problem.

What do you mean not lootable? You cannot click on them? The A button doesn't work?

I click on the items inside of any container and they stay there.

Do you have some controller plugged in or had it plugged in? Does this persist if you open the PipBoy and fiddle around a bi in the Data part of it? This latter seems to be the fix for a 'cannot click on anything' bug.

No controller plugged in. I tried the Pipboy part you mentioned, didn't work either. I can loot any items that are not inside of cashes, ragdolls etc.

I have this problem too but i only have installed fallout who vegas and nvse

It seems to be a bug only in the german cut version of the game. Exchanging the german exe with an uncut english exe fixed it for me. Just download this https://mega.nz/#!jYVlDCRK!--ZHYq8EV8dV5rbP226FpwRSIUhnVTxAHTJyDUIuLlc then place the 2 exe files into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas directory and select replace all (maybe make a backup before replacing them, just in case). Then looting and trading should work again.
