The actual solution is to take med-x, slasher, put on your best armor, and try to take temporary cover behind walls to heal.

or you could try using a stealth boy..i used it just fine and all the shells they tried to him me with were a mile away.

I used Turbo. maybe 2 turbo. you can make it to the fence if you go right after they finish firing on turbo and go pretty much in a straight line

Stay to the left and run as fast as you can to the closest part of the fence. Once you're near the fence they won't shoot at you anymore and you can follow that to the gate.

just run hugging the left cliff face and go directly for the fence. Easy peasy.
