Platinum Chip gone?

So with the chip I went to ceasar's fort and was about to do the mission Wild Card:You and What Army, and I gave the guard at the entrance the chip assuming it would be given back later . When suddenly Veronica said dhe had a way to make the BoS change and being the true member I am I went off to do that mission never getting the chip back I also did some other mission to before coming back to the fort at which point I went to the weather station like the mission says to I went in the three guards inside attacked me I killed all three searched all them none of them had the chip (The guards attacked cause i'm vilified by them but had Legion armor on to get into the fort). So I went back outside and went to Ceasar's tent without incident and killed everyone in that tent searched them all no chip found a small foot locker that belonged to Cesar but it was locked (lvl 100 Very-Hard) so I went back to Yes Man and talked to him about the bunker and still no chip! And thats where I am now. Any ideas on a fix?

Ceasar will give it back to you when he tells you to ***SPPPPSOSOOIIIIILLLLLEEERRRR*****

caesar gives you the quest. he normally directs you towards abuilding in the back past the haubitz and some tents, a legion guy inside should also maybe give you the chip. you then can use the console to your right to enter the vault.

Ceasar is dead in my game everyone in the fort is DEAD! and i searched EVERYONE and no chip!

not in the fort. there is a stone/metal building in the back.

I know the weather building i killed everyone in there and searched them to but I didn't kill the guy just outside the door guarding it. Should I kill him too, would it help?

okay I'll try it then i'll go into the vault to raise a army of robots to kill Ceasar's Legion which I already killed lol XD

Ha ha i did it the guy at the gate when i went to the fort again. I talked to him he re took the platinum chip I killed everyone and went to Ceasar's tent and searched his long dead body and there it was HAHA now the mystery is WHO put the chip on his dead body when eveyone was dead???? bum bum bbuumm????
