Help please? (weird UI thing)
Below is a screenshot of the UI I currently have in game:

I've never modded New Vegas before but I've modded Skyrim successfully before so I would say that I have some experience with modding. I have been following Gopher's modding tutorial series on youtube which as far as I'm aware shows some outdated mods now so I have replaced anything outdated with what was suggested on NM.

I have restored the files to their original state three times now and have reinstalled mods in various configurations with no success yet. The only mods I have installed are NVSE, Darnified UI, MCM, One HUD, UIO and Project Nevada and I am still getting this issue.

If anyone knows what the cause of this is, how to fix it or at least some way that I could find out how to fix it I would be very grateful.

Install in this order:
Darnified UI
Project Nevada
MCM
Onehud
Unified hud ( dont use UIO )
overwrite all the time

I tried installing in that order but I'm just getting a crash before I can even start the game now. The UI had things like the crosshair from Project Nevada and the smaller health and ap bars from Darnified UI but there was always an orange square in the centre of the screen and when I was notified of anything by a text prompt in the UI it would come up as these squares instead of the text.

That doesn't really make sense...
Hud mods should never cause crashes.
Use LOOT to sort your load order, make a Merged Patch with FNVEdit and clean your mods again with FNVEdit. Also make sure you have archive invalidated or whatever its called
