Lonesome Road ED-E Not Moving
When I got to where you first meet ED-E after starting the dlc, I went through the dialogue until it said that he had joined me. However, once I left the conversation and moved away, ed-e did not follow. He just floated in place, even though I checked his settings and ordered him to follow me.

I've tried disabling most of my mods (mainly companion based ones), but this problem persists. I have also tried loading a save from before I started Lonesome Road, but the same thing happens when I get to the same part.

Bump for having the same problem.
Edit: If anyone wants to have go at fixing it, here's my savegame.[www.dropbox.com] I tried all the obvious stuff, as in waiting, enable-disable, kill-resurrect...

Ugh, it's a tricky one. You can't really fix it, just try a few tricks to clobber up something.

Usually reloading a save before entering the Canyon Wreckage helps.

You can also wait 12 hours next to it and sometimes it kick-starts ED-E's script.

You can also achieve the same by exiting the silo and re-entering it. A lot. Waiting 72 ingame hours before entering again improves chances. Somewhat.

You can also try the old Marked Men reset trick, it involves a few lines in the console. For best chance try doing it before you wake up the robot:
player.RemoveFromAllFactions
player.AddToFaction 1b2a4 1
player.AddToFaction xx00b42e 1
player.AddToFaction xx016154 1
player.AddToFaction xx003e41 1
The "xx" in the last three lines are the load order number for HH, OWB and LR respectively.

Thanks for your help, talgaby. Wish I still had a save from before Lonesome Road. :/
Sadly, none of the other tricks seemed to do it for me.
If I can't get it to work, I'll start a new game and boost my level to 20 and put all my items in some chest via plugin. :B1:

Fixed that - push him with your body to the nearest terminal (shop), give him an order, stay back, and wait for some time (T button). Kicked script for me, and somehow fixed this in previous saves...

Obsidian is such Obsidian)

After scouring numerous forums and trying different console commands to get ed-e to move your method was the most simplistic but actually worked, thanks!

I recently figured it out for real. When entering the room with Ed-E for the firtst time, unlock his chamber and talk to him then try to push him towards the door you came in through! When/if he stops moving open all the doors leading to the first room aswell as clicking the panel that Ed-E need to interact with to continue (NOT THE COMMISSARY-PANEL IN THE SECOND ROOM) and stand in that room while you press T to wait for 3 hours. Ed-E will appear in the corridor and when he does just wait another hour and it will be fixed!

What happens if you bring Ed-E from mohave with you or can you do that? I have not started lonesome road yet and curious if you can bring companions with you or not.

I know this is 7 years later, but thank you so much. After I installed the YUP patch and waited 12 hours it totally fixed the issue. You rock.

You have to dismiss all companions before leaving. It's not called the "Lonesome" Road for nothing.

So I pushed him to the commissary and shot him, that woke him up.

I know this might sound dumb but what does he mean by terminal (shop)?
