Fallout New Vegas Keeps Minimizing, Can't Alt+Tab Back In
Alright, so it's been a few months since I've play Fallout New Vegas, so I decided to play it again after upgrading to Windows 10. However, I can't get past the tutorial because the game keeps minimizing, and no matter how much I click on it or alt+tab, it won't let me access it. Now, I'm only posting this as a last resort, I've seen a few discussion threads say it was AVG, which I don't have installed, or it could be some background task taking focus. I've uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, played it without mods, with 4gb patch, nvse, but it doesn't work with any of them. Any help?

UPDATE:

Just leaving this here for anyone who has this problem:

Update your drivers to Windows 10. I thought for some reason that they were all updated because Windows update didn't show anything, but just go to the website and update them.

It's focus steal though. Try to disable Steam overlay, because for some reason it can start a BAT file now that steals focus. Happens to me all the time while playing Mafia.

Hey, I think you've helped me with some of my posts before. Thanks for that.

And I tried that, no good. Just did the same thing after about 30 seconds of gameplay. I also have vsync completely disabled, I think that's somehow relevant because I saw a post saying that was the problem.

I can't help with the Win 10 issue but, you don't want to play NV at more than 60 fps. There's a Havok/physics issue that will have items flying all over the game world.

Switch the game to windowed mode. This way you may see what is stealing the focus and it generally tends to be more responsive when trying to get back. If it doesn't respond here either, then the game has crashed for you for some reason, or you have some program running that is interfering with New Vegas on a delayed manner. (Which, admittedly, would sound rather strange.)
