Playing this game with a Mac Mouse...
So I got a Apple Labtop, installed Windows so I could play my Steam Games...and I HATE the track pads on labtops, so I got a Mac Mouse...and here is the issue, the damn thing is a SOLID piece of covering plastic...so I LITERALLY CAN NOT press both buttons at the same time and it is INFURIATING!

I can not zoom/"shoulder" aim a gun and fire at the same time cause of this damn ass backwards design. I have to hold a keyboard key and then mouse fire and it sucks...

Is there some setting I am unaware of that could change this, I am pretty new to Mac and generally stay away from them(but I got it for photo/video editing as I travel, also the massive savings for a family member working for them...lol)

Thanks.

Yeah, there's an easy solution. It doesn't even take a trip to the nexus.

It's called 'don't play videogames on a mac.'

The serious solution is to go into the settings and change the ironsight button to something else. Why you'd buy an apple branded mouse, I will never know.

Hard Disk Space: 10GB free space

mac is not supported, and i know you run windows on a mac.

but problem is still mac hardware support
try upgrade that mac to newest os version and drivers or watever mac owner does

and after that you still need to do same on the windows VM
windows vm hardware can only be support if backbone system knows it.
even then they 2 system has nothing to do with each other in the theory, but you still run it on a mac and is bound by what mac system core is. that is what is need the upgrade, and maybe you already have that update.

You have that design because Holy Jobs, in his infinite wisdom, figured that people would not need two mouse buttons - the OS (and app design guidelines) would ensure correct context sensitivity.

Unfortunately the only thing I can recommend is to remap the RMB to a keyboard key.

Why not using a simple USB mouse? Macs are nothing more than an average desktop PC/laptop with specific parts and a logo slapped on it with a ×3 price tag. There is nothing in them that is not a standard hardware or connector. The only custom thing they use is the iPhone charger to get even more money by forcing the people to use it instead of a cheap microUSB charger.

At least it's not the hockey puck mouse. Nothing like trying to use a mouse where it's your random guess as to which way is up.

Only way you'll get me using an Apple is to put it in my cold dead hands. Even then, you're going to have a fight.

Can you not read? I said I have to hold down a key to zoom/ironsight it. I don't want to do that...I didn't buy this solely to play games...again...can you not read? I got it for photo/video edit as I travel and the fact I saved $700+ cause a family member used their company discount to get me this before I left, also FaceTime back home and such. Hardware may be Mac, but I am running it on Windows...runs just fine.

I got a Mac Mouse...for a Mac Laptop...I know crazy logic. I had no clue the damn this was a single click at once mouse. Had Windows installed to kill time with my games and such on Steam. I have a normal USB mouse...but that is back in the states(which is a Vista Desktop...) and if I can avoid buying a second one here when I already have a fully functional one...

Not sure why you gave your system specs, but everything is current and up to date. Windows 8 runs just fine and wonderful, both mouse inputs work as they should...seperately, the issue is if I use the right click, the way it is set up(or designed in which I am screwed) I can't use the left click or vice versa. I don't think OS is really the issue you here.

I had a friend that does all this stuff for a living set it up(actually he messed it up and had to reinstall...everything, which I was told was a Mac issue, it was months ago I don't really recall what the issue was), the systems run fine in every respec other then the fact this mouse is just stupid.

Cause I was leaving the country and didn't expect to have much time to play games and would be doing far better and more interesting things, so I picked up a matching mouse cause I strongly dislike mouse pads and using my fingers and thumbs for that stuff, but now I find myself a little hungry for Fallout seing all the Fallout 4 stuff and then Shelter on my phone...so I installed it and started playing...

It is already remapped...damn, I guess I will have to just get a new mouse...jackass Apple, I swear the whole company is solely designed NOT to play games on it. 100+ games...only 30 work on Mac. Damn thing...

Apple is nice...but it is all name and hype, all about the Label. I saved +$700 and have had my family push me for it, so I got it. Mostly again for photo and video editing then FaceTime back home, playing games was more a time filler and not a focus on the purchase. Just don't get it for games. Good thing I saved all that money and got Windows 8 for free. Haha

no its the game requirement do you have that on the mac, or you can get odd behaviour in controlls ( it can't handle double controll ) pc lack the power to do it. but i dont think its that, but i have seen other mac try run games that the macpc os requirement dont have.

I am a little loss...I have everything up to date, least by Window's Update Manager and I am running it on Windows 8. The PC may have been made by Apple and have Mac OS on it...but I have a section of the Harddrive running and functioning with Windows...hell I use Windows more then the Mac side at this point. I am not running the game on Mac...I am running it on Windows, the questions was about the Mouse settings and if there is anyway to make it so I can use both left and right buttons at the same time...I.E. Ironsight and Fire with just the mouse...not Keyboard Ironsight and Mouse Fire

okay maybe you know or dont know this.

but that pc is a build by someone ... just like a pc

named model and nr or custome build then its our mortherboard that is the name of the pc its producti specifyed. that is the true master of the pc-unit

so do mac, mac has a name model and osX, they know best how that pc is build .. so it dont matter what other os you have linux winows mac...that is just a OS and we all have this issue.

try see it as your god product support site for your pc they know best for you and your product no matter what you are using

and you told us this its a mac and you run win on it... its still a mac you need to check that mac model support site out for new bios - drivers - whatever hardware is.

and i know you boot up in a windows but its still mac build pc and your windows still go and use whatever hardware you mac has

if this dont make any sense to you i cant explan it better then this.
its not that simple for people that dont know such it-skill or have not dealt with it before

if you dont know how or what you product name is , i cant help you, talk with mac support site, maybe they can help you better

I feel like slapping you the way you are talking down to me about this...

I know it is built by someone at all that, but learn a little grammar wouldn't hurt you. This Labtop is not even 4 months old, I have indeed everything all up to date and such. I got her like 2 days before I left home. Yosemite OS, MacBook Pro. There have been little updates to iTunes and such, but only 1 real update or 2 to the OS...

I know that much about it...

There is frankly nothing I can do, various internet searches have told me I can't and a "Mighty Mouse" may be able to but I don't think I got that. I will just have to put up with it till I get home or get another mouse(which I probably won't...I mean I can deal with it as is...)
Iceira 22/set./2015 às 5:33
no its you that feel that way, this is the first time you tell us anything we can use.

please contact Yosemite OS, MacBook Pro. support and ask if that is normal a lockdown
mouse support the error could be there they do know this, and can test if mouse zoom shoot will never work or a new mouse is needed or as other post mention you have to reasign mouse button. or they say to you upgrade to that osX

because you are right on my pc its right to zoom button and left to shoot outside vats system

You aren't listening...it has utterly NOTHING to do with the OS or the fact I have Windows on a Mac...it is the damn design of the mouse. It just can't do it.

This is the Mouse!![www.apple.com] I have this one...it just can't do what I want. I am not a fool for this, after a few of the comments here...I looked a little more into it. The stupid design of Apple just won't let it do it...

...Again, I don't think that is going to help me. I am running it on Windows, I don't have access to the same Mouse options on this end...
darinbob 23/set./2015 às 22:29
Yup, get a cheap-o third party mouse.

Although you can place some of the blame on the game too. Some games can let you remap any action, others are very restrictive, FO:NV is in the middle. Ie, you can't remap "left+right" to a single key easily (though with NVSE+mod you probably could), even if you can separately remap the left and right.

It's not just a Mac problem. I've seen games where it's nearly impossible to use by someone handicapped, where a simple feature of remapping keys would have solved it all. The same developers who assume everyone has a $2000 PC are also the ones who assume everyone has ten fingers and can juggle.
